Salem has population over 1 million and several thousands of transfer passengers by road/train. People from all over India and overseas visit this city either through Chennai & Bangalore (more) and considerable counts via Kovai airport. It will be great opportunity for all if Govt revives the service for civilian airport. I am disappointed the Govts (state/central) and political parties are oblivious about this matter- all focused on frees-wine shops- etc. it will be good for those visiting Salem for business and personal, if this airport is operational. Fingers crossed- Vikram
