Close to town

Small strip for charters, no regular commercial service. Locals will sell you food and drink just off the property and I met my future wife here.

Okavango, Chobe, Moremi and Makgadikgadi access

Good international airport to access the best Botswana game preserves and wetlands. Lots of charters fly out every day, strip is well maintained and tower control is impressive as clouds and mist can roll in dawn and dusk but doesn't seem to matter as long as the pilots have the cohones to do so :)

information out of date

There is no longer an active NDB at Limpopo Valley Airport

There is no longer an Air Traffic Control, nor Airfield Information, service.

The airfield services the Eastern Tuli Block and surrounds, Mashatu Game Reserve, Tuli Safari Lodge and others

Radio frequency: Flight information 125.5

Designation is FBLV, not FBTL. The old Tuli Lodge airfield (FBTL) was replaced by Limpopo Valley in 2000.

Pilots should contact FBLV (Mashatu) on +267 2645321 or Fax +267 2645263 and give 24 hrs advance notice of ETA and Customs & Immigration requirements

Passenger taxes and landing fees apply

Wrong location?

I think that this should actually be the location of FBGM (Gumare Airport), since it's right north of the town of Gumare. The village of Nokaneng is 30-40 km to the south. Even Garmin has this wrong (if it is wrong).

Possibly wrong

I think that this airport should actually be where FBNN (Nokaneng Airport) is shown just to the north of the town of Gumare, and FBNN should be 30-40 km south in the village of Nokaneng. If that's true, though, then even Garmin has it wrong right now. Currently, everyone shows Gumare more-or-less in the middle of the town.
