Reply to @anjp: I've never had any response from Maniwaki Unicom in either language. :)
It's true, though, that staff at FBOs for many smaller Quebec airports often don't speak English, or speak very little.

Been here a couple times and could never get the UNICOM to respond to my english... Other pilots in the circuit speaking french do receive a response. What can you do :-)

When I went in 2006 the restaurant in the a/p bldg. was closed. Short car ride (call taxi) to "La Crémaillère", an excellent French Restaurant/Inn in neaby village of Messines (3 or 4 km SW of a/p), with adjacent bike/ski trail.
