New Mexico airport problem reports

La Mesa Park Airport was used by La Mesa Park Racetrack visitors who would fly in for horse races. The racetrack closed in 1992 and the airport soon thereafter. The only thing remaining of the runway are broken bits of asphalt. Pilots wishing to fly into Raton, NM should use KRTN about 8 miles to the south of the former NM67.

Its confusing that OA has chosen ident TA50 for Cielo Dorado Estates. Its GPS code is NM05, and TA50 is taken by WIlkeys in Larue Texas. Currently the closed Williams Airport gets ident NM05.
