I lived on IE Jima for one year while I was in the USAF. I was Site Commander of the bomb and gunnery range from 1987-1988. The island is one of the most beautiful spots on earth. I will always have a place in my heart for the Island and the wonderful people who live there. If you ever get a chance to visit I would highly recommend it.
