I do not have a compelling or even interesting anecdote or tale. What I have is a question. On some maps an unmaintained airstrip is visible on the atoll. On others it is not. Is there, or isn't there? And could a small wheeled airplane land / take off from it. Also, I have read that the lagoon that the atoll surrounds is fresh water?!?! Is that true? And is it potable?
