Currently primarily used by the North of Superior Flyers RC Club, their website describes the site as still being used by full-size aircraft. Was formerly home to a Cadet Flying Site. Free Flight of January of 1968 describes the Lakehead Gliding Club moving 1.5 miles to a newly built airfield shared with the newly-formed Kakabeka Falls Flying Club.
