England airport problem reports

The Lydd VOR-DME has been permanently decommissioned. (reporting here as VORs have no report-problem option)

I’m a registered user but don’t seem to be able to add runway info for my home airfield: Rattlesden Airfield. It’s runways are:

18/36 Grass 540m

Airfield elevation is 282 feet.

Wrong code. I don't know where this database of strange alpha-numeric pseudo ICAO codes has come from but it's worming its way into everything. Your system of GB- codes is far better.

This is not an "airport", it is a short PRIVATE grass strip. It is not suitable for many types of aircraft and your use of the word "airport" is dangerous as you might encourage someone to land there inappropriately. It is closed to all third party use.

There are many private airports and airstrips in the database.

This airstrip is no longer in use. It was granted permission to demolish the hangar in 2023, which is now replaced by a new dwelling. The land is now dedicated to agricultural use.

This airstrip is within D123 Salisbury Plain Training Area and within a live firing range. It is not open to the general public

Marked as private, but honestly, landing at an unmarked airstrip without seeking permission first is generally a bad idea in any country.
