Be on your game
This place is short and skinny. On top of that, it sits in a valley. It's a neat place but you better know your plane. I actually landed here in bad weather and I had no problem, but I can imagine pilots running long and ending up on the golf course.
Following your successful landing, go around the creek and get a meal at the Copper Kettle.
Hard to find
I don't know why. Maybe because everything on the ground in that area looks like a stripe of some sort, it was a hard to find airport.
Plowed field
Wow! This place is as rough as a plowed field. No tie downs, no fuel, no FBO, just a strip of grass.
Better get it right
It's kind of short and narrow. The trees on the east end can be a bit unnerving for a low time pilot.
Closed
Airport is closed. Use KPCW.
Neat location
One of the nicest all grass facilities I have ever seen. Recently visited for the Waco fly-in.
Nice airport, got my class III here
John Schoettmer M.D. seems nice enough. He conducted my class III. He's also a retired AF F-16 pilot. Over-achiever if you ask me.
I think the code is wrong. This is KPOV
I landed here last week. It was coded as KPOV.
Learned to fly here
Learned to fly here in 2013. Miami Gliders is a great place to get your pilot training.
Friendly ATC

As a newish pilot, I always appreciate a non-class B personality in the controllers.
