GB-0025 Please note that the airfield title should now read PURBECK FLYING (EYRES FIELD). Dorset Gliding Club vacated the site at the end of March 2026. Also, the correct airfield elevation is 210 feet and the runway designations are 18/36.

I was notified by the owner, Madeline Johnson (boonhillhouse@gmail.com), that the airfield is permanently closed. The google maps verifies it's a farm field now with bails of hay on it.

LGSA airport has two runways 29L/R - 11L/R

No airport objects found. Area is still landable, not reused.

Is this an active aerodrome? openstreetmap mentions it as "disused", and satellite imagery shows no aeroplanes, not even a windsock

As far as I know this airport is an international airport. And by size, the runway it's bigger than the João Paulo II Airport. So if LPPD is a large airport, this should be too.
