Right on the green line

This helipad is right on the 1949 "Green Line". Based on user reports that it was under Israeli operation before 1967, I have assigned it to Israel rather than Palestine.

No scheduled services to this airport

Despite what is said in the Pilot Info section, there are no scheduled services to this airfield. It is occasionally used to take flights from Eilat or Ben Gurion if either of those airports is closed or for security considerations. Ovda is an Israeli Air Force base.

Bug on the page

I tried updating the coordinates using "32 47 11 N" as per the Israeli navigation chart on Wikipedia (http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/1/10/FiqAerodromeChart.jpg/685px-FiqAerodromeChart.jpg) , and things kind of blew up (Chrome on Linux).

Mapping Error

The airfield is actually located at 32.744187 35.673466, which can be found by scrolling north a bit, and clicking on the magenta airplane intended to show Al-Al Airport, OS73. These are both the same airport, but the name was changed when the Golan Heights were placed under Israeli law.

Not currently in use

While this airport isn't officially closed, it hasn't been used since 1995, and has been controlled by the Israeli Defense Force since 2001. The airport has two ICAO codes: OJJR for Jordan (who originally controlled the territory), and LLJR for Israel.
