Not the airport's fault and it arrived the next day! Due to the crisis in Zimbabwe the officer had do hand write all the details, not very efficient but very friendly and helpful
What I want to say about Rusape Airport I like that issue maybe my earlier are developed because that town is nice but if u open pliz remember me I want job thanks u
@Bill35 found a different location in a 1996 Tactical Pilotage Chart (UK Ministry of Defence military survey): -17.0049 30.8961
Zooming in shows something that might once have been a runway there, though it's much rutted and crossed by paths now. I wonder if Zimbabwe is simply reluctant to let international authorities know about how much infrastructure it has let decay during its decades of economic trouble, so it wants to keep this on the books (number of airports is one of the indicators used in international development).
In any case, we need to decide (a) whether to move the marker per the 1996 chart, and (b) whether to mark the airport as "closed" based on its visible state in the sat view. Thoughts?
It's still in my Eurocontrol/EAD data dump, although the location is slightly different. It still doesn't look like much of an airport on Google Earth, though.
I had 450 pictures of my Africa trip in the camera and I put it in my backpack and unbelievably it was gone when the backpack was returned. Can not believe it but it actually happened. Need to monitor who is handling the luggage when it is out of site.
The asset of a town is access through Airports and entry. Plumtree town must develop their airport first, then there will be a resourse driven economy in Plumtree.
There is need to set up flights for Kariba. It is being shown as receiving flights departing from Harare and Victoria falls on Friday Sunday, but nothing under Kariba.

Customs are sporadic but there was no immigration! I only had a voice on the other end of the telephone who told me to leave my details on a piece of paper and shove it under the door!! It made me most uncomfortable not having my passport stamped although she was adamant that aircrew did not need to have their passports stamped!! Fuel is available pay cash and in USD.
