The problem with the last person who posted, is clearly they have the lowest of low standards in fact no standards! I sit here at ORTIA awaitng news on an SA airways from Dubai (not a small airport, or an unknowns airline to ACSA or I hope SAA and guess what? Yip that's right no info....come on ACSA CATCH A WAKE UP!!!! To think you played a part in the World Cup. Got to go now, as I have a SMS from my wife to say she has landed.....buy the way she a a shit lot more reliable thanks ACSA. I am excited for the Prince Mangosuthu airport and I can not wait to fly from Johannesburg to ULD. I've been stuggling going to Vryheid as I had to sit for hours through construction on the way with the 40min stop. Please really consider Johannesburg.

Aeroden Lodge is a fantastic flyaway location BUT please book in advance as it is booked out on most weekends. Awesome flying along the Magaliesburg mountains and Hartebeespoort Dam. NOTE: Check for game on airstrip before landing!!

Potch airfield is the home to Akavlieg Potcheftsroom, a prominent gliding club in South Africa. The airfield is also home to the JS factory - a 18m glider factory. This glider has performed exceptionally well in world competitions. The extra runway was never really needed for the Spaniards, but a "Lanseria" might just kill the gliding of. It might have been good if all stakeholders were considered before the big ideas started flying around.

One of the things that this site provides is a link to the official web site for the airport (if we know of it). In the case of this airport, we do have a link to it. Perhaps if you can't find what you want here, you should try the one that people are actually getting paid to maintain, instead of rubbishing the one that's done by volunteers?

For real-time arrivals and departures, however, we depend on FlightStats, which kindly lets us republish their status pages for airports that have airline service. If there are other features you'd like to see, please let us know, and I'll look into adding them (this is a volunteer/hobby site, so speed of new features depends on the time I can get free from work and family obligations).

Just checked my wife's flight from Durban to see if there was info, last updated 111 minutes ago, she has called to say there is a 20 min delay so I'm guessing this site is as useful as a chocolate fireplace, what a joke!

Land 26, take-off 08, avoid low flying over the falls.
A 'wide' right base for 26 will provide a good view of the falls without causing offence.

Good people, good food. Head chef/taxi driver/new letter publisher, has a tendency to publicise a pilots landing ‘transgressions’, tell them you are arriving 30 minutes later then planned! ;->

Taxi to Southern sand apron, park, walk through South Eastern gate and do your weekend shopping at the SPAR. 50/100 meters, remember to return the shopping cart, and pay your landing fees (R50 for singles), at the honesty box close to the gate.

2 km walk to the Wimpy in town, and it will be hot and sweaty, or cold and damp.
