Can a Boeing 767-300 land/to at CYKF and where would it park

Location

The Cudworth airport is actually about 1/2 a mile to the NorthEast of where the location is indicated on the map. The main runway is 26-08, which is now mostly gravel from disintegrated asphalt, and nice grassy shoulders. The grass, either side of the gravel, is suitable for landing light aircraft. The taxiway, leading north from the centre of 26-08 can and is often used for landing subject to prevailing winds. 35-17 are the normal calls for landing on the taxiway. The Saskatoon Soaring Club operates out of this airport, as of 2012, and owns the large hangar off of the taxiway, North end of airport. Unicom is 123.2

re: Why is Toronto International Airport not customer frien

oh, you are so wrong!!!!!! First though, my question would be why do you travel with so much luggage that you cannot simply wheel it around for yourself?

Yesterday I was meeting a 13 year old who was on a five hour layover from Barcelona to Edmonton. I asked an airport employee if he could provide me with some information about where she would be so that I could meet her. He asked me to write a note for her, then he found her when the plane arrived, ensured that everything was well with her and later on purchased us drinks at Tim Horton's. I was friendly, not angry; my niece was polite; the employee was phenomenal. My niece had heard scare stories about Toronto (Edmonton apparently bashes Toronto too), but this simple act of 'niceness' gave her a wonderful introduction to our (my!) city. Maybe change your outlook and you will find more pleasant circumstances.

Why is Toronto International Airport not customer friendly

It is always a pain to fly back into Toronto Airport despite the fact that it is an image builder for the city and country for so many visitors. First it is an expensive airport so the fees you pay are already one of the highest in the world. Second it is usually miles to walk from the plane up escalators, down escalators in a bland corridors and vast rooms. then you come to the immigration where the clueless personel trying to make orderly lines make you walk much further than necessary as necessary in a snake rather than individual lines. Then the insult of arriving after tiring journey and being asked to faddle about and pay $2 for a luggage cart. This last item is one of my tests for a civilised country. Most airports that I have visited mainly Europe offer free carts. Clearly Toronto airport is greedily money oriented rather than making customers happy. This really leaves a bad taste in the mouth. I am ashamed of Toronto airport because of its snivelling attitude. Try looking at airport users as humans you want to impress. It may be the most improved airport in Canada but it is still bottom of the pile.

Very scenic and great runway surface

beautiful approach over the water, there is a maintenance facility but the airport is usually pretty empty.

mostly floatplanes and taildraggers on the field, there is limited good parking for tricycle geared planes the dirt surfaces look like they go to mud in the rain.

Good airport

Ostergard's is a well-maintained private strip, made available to the general flying public out of courtesy. Being part of that public, I can only appreciate that - as there are few non-restricted airfields around Calgary, and Ostergard's airport is located in such a beautiful corner! Right between the canyons and the wind farms, both panoramas are just awesome...

Runway is in a very good shape, approaches are clear, and the airport is reasonably easy to find - though I believe that one must expect significant crosswind many of the times. I liked how the northbound runway drops right after the edge, and I enjoyed taking off southbound - towards the wind farms.

Location itself is definitely not a place to goof around - one could clearly see that people live and work there. But I'm glad I visited Ostergard's and hope to be back at some point.

Dorval Customs Cattle Line

Going through Customs at Dorval - after you've walked through the maze to get in line - is so ridiculous that we no longer fly into Dorval. We would rather fly to an airport across the border and drive through customs. Much more relaxing and car rentals are much, much more reasonable than at the Dorval airport.

Nice airport!

I've been to Bishell's for a fly-in and loved everything about it. Interesting short final southbound - passing just by the tree line, touching down on a hill top and then rolling lower and lower... Easy to find, good approaches, no significant obstacles around, the runway is kept neat and clean, airport facilities are in order, people around are simply great - awesome! Loved to be there and would be happy to visit this place again.

Corman Air Park

Corman Air Park is a small privately owned and operated aerodrome near Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada. It is open to the general public and is suitable for light aircraft of up to about 6 seats (2600 ft. runway).

Pilots are encouraged to fly here and the general public to fly in, drive in, cycle in, walk in...... are all encouraged to come out and find out what REAL aviation is all about.

Every year the Air Park is host to It's annual Fly N' Fair. It is really a "50 year past" event and is very reminiscent of what a real country fair was back then. It's a lot of very relaxing fun for everyone that attends.

It runs every year from June 30 to July 1 with a free and very spectacular fireworks display at dusk on June 30.

There is no admission charge but the Canadian Air Cadets are in charge of parking and they charge $5/car.

See the website at Google cormanairpark for more information.

airplane rides for children

Hi,

I attended an event with a non profit last year that offered an opportunity for children to have a short ride in a plane (for children who may not otherwise have this experience). Is that event happening again this year? If so, I'm wondering if I could talk to someone about this and how I can get my organization involved.

Thanks!

I would like to park my airplane at this airport since I just moved to the area. Is there anybody I could talk to about bringing it there and parking outside with tiedowns? I can be contacted at j3dixon@hotmail.com. I was already speaking to Mr. Yaworski, but he is on holidays right now and I would like to bring it up this weekend if possible.

Thanks

Confirmed no go

Been there again two days ago - it's listed as registered, but looks like a private cropdusters strip. Farm machinery in and around the hangar, instead of airplanes, and a red truck parked on the first third of eastbound runway. Didn't look welcoming, though it's a long strip - and surface was quite beaten. Looks like the owners just did not update their official airport status to "restricted".

Picture of dazuppa

re: Okotoks

Reply to @camroe: You probably meant the Okotoks Air Park, just a couple of miles southeast, right? Skywings is there... As for this grass strip, it's restricted, and in a very decent conditions - just overflew it two days ago, looked very nice and landable. Loved the runway numbers cut in the grass, cool touch! :-)

I agree

This airpark is not properly maintained. I will not return. SW winds brutal. I understand from a local that it is always like that. St. Catharines is much more professional and close to Niagara on the Lake! Great food and great wine, plenty of ground transportation and lodgings. Just sayin....

Landing Fee's

First of all thanks @david for bring the facility fee for Glanford to my attention i did not know about that and would have been pretty upset if i were to show up their and get a bill like that for sure! Second I'm noticing that YHM is waiving it's landing fee's on certain occasions to attract GA traffic. does anyone know if the facility fee for certain places will be waived? or is their a place on the field to park were you wont get charged these " hidden fee's"

thanks in advance

I wouldn't land here again. The runway is in poor shape. There are large trees at the north end which present a disconcerting challenge.
