First Hand Update
Polynesian airlines serves this airport with scheduled flights within Samoa and to/from American Samoa.
It was recently closed by the government citing safety concerns according to an American Samoan who I spoke to while waiting to take a flight to the other island of 'Upolu.
Better security and a new runway was installed to meet up with government standards. However, since the reopening of the airport it's been used much less by the public. Perhaps they don't know it's open again? Much better way to get to/from Savai'i/'Upolu than taking the ferry.
station strip
1800 ft elevation
You need permission to operate at this strip
Notes
Short (440m), marginal airstrip.
re: wrong coordinate
Made the change.
wrong coordinate
The listed coordinate is in the middle of the ocean!
Maybe try this one: 35.7550 S 137.9583 E
re: YHOX closed
Reply to @Yannick: Bugger!!!!
YHOX closed
And the first thing they did is bulldoze the runway :/
re: Wattle Hills Airport
Private- best to check before using
Wattle Hills Airport
Good sand strip- no facilities, no water, best going to Lockhart
Airport is now closed
According to an article on Flightglobal (http://www.flightglobal.com/articles/2009/09/15/332297/fiji-closes-biaugunu-airport.html) this airport is now closed. The airport was opened in 1980 but scheduled services ceased in 1984 when better roads made travel by other means more practical.

re: Airport or helipad ?
Reply to @Zoran: Absolutely right -- I checked the Australia AIP online to confirm, then edited the listing.
Airport or helipad ?
It doesn't look like an airport. Perhaps it's mean Westmead Hospital helipad (33.8052 S, 150.9892 E) ?
re: Wrong Place
I've moved the airport marker to what looks like an airstrip near those coordinates.
Wrong Place
Airport shown in wrong location
Try about -43 15' 147 23'
Wake Island
I was in the Marine Corps and Stopped at Wake for refueling. As out of the way it is, it is one of the most beautiful places i got to visit while stationed on Okinawa. I would love to visit it again one day.

re: Location on Google is wrong
Thanks -- I've moved the airport marker.
Location on Google is wrong
The Google marker is showing the wrong locaton. The airstrip is actually about 7km west of where it is marked. If you look at the township of Cabramurra, the airstrip is about 2km NE of the township - you can see it pretty obvious on the satellite photo. Half of the airstrip is a bitumen surface, the rest is hard packed gravel, and there is a now a cloud seeding testign staton adjacent to the airstrip (as well as a weather station which has been there since around 1960).
Manuka Point
600m in length
outstanding airstrip
My first touch and go
Never realised how fast this operation takes... a few seconds. No time for chit-chat or welcome drinks.... off and away again.
My first controlled airspace.
I was so nervous nearly missed the approach. Lovely place to have a snack.
PPL passed here
A lovely country side aerodrome. A small club with several aircrafts, and many friendly people. Thanks RNAC
Well maintained runway
Served with regular charter flight from Yap Island
Radio Frequencies
The radio frequencies are wrong
CTAF = 126.7
Area = Melbourne Centre 135.25
re: YADG
Reply to @PILOT99: This must be THE best airport to fly into in SA. Beautiful club house with delightful staff and superb food. We are always greeted like old friends
YHOX IS CLOSED
Closed and sold for industrial land 2008. So ends the history of a useful WW2 vintage airport. Sad to think that the Commonwealth Government sold all three Sydney GA airports to the same greedy organisation.
great place
did my tif at barwon heads it was great ,nice people, looking forward to my next lesson ,great place ,couldn't think of a place with better views to learn to fly.
Kyneton Aerodrome
Kyneton Aerodrome is a regional airport which is home to the Kyneton Aero Club and a base for many privately owned aircraft
re: Best aeroclub around.
Bloody narrow strip though, makes it a bit harder to judge your approach than average. Otherwise, good facilities and nice people.
Landing
A great place to land for a snack break under the eye of Mount Cook
Operations
An awesome airport for seeing lots of USAF aircraft involved in Operation Deep Freeze regular visitors throughout summer are C-17, C-5 and C-130.
Expansion
What used to be a little aerodrome has now got a lot bigger. A variety of aircraft from warbirds to helicopters operate from this airport daily.
Geelong
A small airfield adjecent to avalon airfield
Best aeroclub around.
This is my home aerodrome and its brilliant. If you ever get a chance to visit, do! Please note all circuits are to the east due to the 'fly neighborly' policy.
re: DH104 at YWAN
hi, just checking out the net and saw your request about the Dove at Wallan airfeild, the bad news is the engines were removed and sold on and the rest was sold to a collector, who collects old things, pity it ended up that way, it was a nice old girl, bit of a bitch to land in a good crosswind due to the riley conversion on the rudder slightly smaller than the normal rudder, there is one at the Morrabbin musem at morrabbin airport victoria, they might like to sell there`s as its only a static display rego VH-ABM,
regards
Steve
Runway
The runway was made of crushed coral and constructed by the 110th Sea's, 27 days after the securing of the island an SBD landed on the island. this was my home from the 22nd of Feb. 1944 to Oct. of 1945. My outfit ran the CAP after the island was secured. The island was manned nearly by Navy personel.
