Why no Uber or Lyft?
Lineups for taxis- but no taxis.....
Lots full of taxis- but none for patrons......
If you can get a cab, you are often refused a ride because “I don’t go there”.....
Why no Uber or Lyft? It might smarten up the rip off taxi companies.
Can’t you clean?
I’ve been through at least 40 airports, all over the world.
YVR has some of the nicest washrooms, but with the poorest cleaning. I’ve been through here multiple times, and rarely seen anything different. Urinals that haven’t been cleaned under since.... well... who knows when. Paper dispensers empty. Usually more than half. Garbage chutes overflowing. No soap in the fancy automatic dispensers. Unwashed floors.
I just used one that had been cleaned in the last half hour( so the paper says), and EVERY urinal had a dirty floor under it.
Where’s the quality control? Is there a manager actually checking?
Sheesh- can’t this beautiful airport do better?

Frenchy's Cassette Tape - The Art of Flying
Frenchy taught my father to fly and my mom and I were taking lessons when Frenchy passed away. I only had about 8 hours in my log and was 16 or 18 years old. (1976 or 1978 I think). I never took another lesson because I couldn't imagine someone telling me to fly over a VOR to watch the From/To flag switch. But, I still have the cassette tape Frenchy gave me to learn his Art of Flying. Does anyone remember this? Contact me if you would like to listen to it. niahartman@icloud.com

Wala naman problem siguro kasi family naman kayo mag travel. Make sure lang may rountrip ticket kayo at confirmed hotel booking. Mas mahigpit lang talaga sila sa mga solo first time traveler na babae. Flight ko din next year february going to Hong kong tapos solo lang ako. Worried din ako since first time ko lang mag abroad.

I have not found much information on this airport other than it seems to be an abandoned location sometime in the 1960s. The Smith River airport holds the record for the coldest temperature ever recorded in British Columbia (recorded in 1947).

AIRPORT CODE INCORRECT
The Airport code is incorrect.
Is should be FAOR not FAJS.
Within Windy App no METAR/TAF/NOTAM can be displayed as the Identification code is incorrect.
How can this be corrected?
re: start akola airport for domestic flight
Why government is not starting operations from Akola airport? If started,this will help to the people of western Vidarbha. Moreove, Akola airport has served in early 90's & had shown great response from public. AAI should start direct flights to Mumbai,Pune,Hyderabad & Delhi.

Well-maintained but not a great experience
I connected in PTY twice in the last week and both times I found the satellite with gates around #30 full of people and very hot as though the A/C wasn’t working, while the other areas of the terminal were at a good temperature. Both gifts and food are significantly overpriced, which came as a surprise. $4 - $6 for a bottle of water, nearly $30 for a soft toy. The first time, my connecting flight changed gates and I couldn’t find it on the screens, nor was it announced. I couldn’t reach airline staff at a nearby gate because of a security blockade and security staff told me to speak to airline staff at another gate because they simply didn’t know anything. At another gate, airline staff did help, but blamed the airport, and told us the new gate, though incremented by one, was at the other side of the terminal and I should hurry because the flight is already boarding. Certainly not the best airport experience I’ve had in 20 years of travelling by air.

Nice repaved runway and new lighting. Fuel, tie downs, plug ins, heated hangar available. Food and accommodation's are about 8 km away.

Restaurant and grocery store within a very short walk from the airport. Paved apron with tie downs. Nice place to stop over.

Very nice pilot lounge. Best fuel prices in the area. Lighted runway with AWOS. Home of the restored Canso. Nice airport to visit but a little too far to walk to town. About 4km.

For Tidal info, consult the tables for "Barra North Bay". Generally speaking when the tide is below 3.0 meter the runways are usable. The first to be flooded is runway 29, then 33, lastly 25.

There are normally two scheduled flights a day with a turn-around time of 20-30 minutes. The twin otters will receive priority so plan a landing and departure at other times. Schedules are at irregular, but published times.
It is advisable to phone Barra airport authority before departure.

Travelling to Japan
Mas maganda po if nakared ribbon yung documents na ipapakita nyo sa immigration. I have been to Japan too, at first time ko lumabas ng bansa non. The difference is my work ako that time. When my friend and i went to switzerland, wala syang work at 1 month pa lang ako sa work ko, natagalan ang friend ko sa interview,pero once lang naman sya nainterview. Pinakita lang namin yung affidavit of support na may attachment ng documents namin,all bound together na nkared ribbon at galing sa Philippine embassy sa switzerland. So kahit wala work ang friend ko at first time nya lalabas ng bansa, nakalusot pa din kami. Tita ng friend ko ang nagsponsor sa amin going to switzerland.

The whole trip was awesome. But when we bought something (food) at the airport before checking in, we decided na hand carry na lang sana yung pasalubong. Nung nagtingin kami sa display na paninda the exp. Date is on Dec.15 (we’re there dec.12) but yung sinupot nyang pasalubong the exp.date Dec.11. Haaays nasayang yung ilang pasalubong. (We bought dun sa guy na nagtitinda) It’s better if check nyo mabuti kahit nakaplastic na.

si tristan tours and travel nagpaalis sakin. dito ko lang din sila nakita sa site na to then search ko sila sa fb. ang gaganda ng reviews sa kanila online so nagpunta ako ng office nila dahil naniguro pa din ako na hindi sila scam. napaalis nila ako.. legit lahat ng docs na provided nila. here na ako sa dubai now.

I drove past there and it looks completely closed, the hangars are still there but the airstrip is fully covered in snow.
worst int airport in India
The toilets are filthy and mainly used by airport staff. Why is there not a separate toilet facility for staff? No special queue for Business passengers, both at Immigration & Security. No privileged lounge for Biz passengers. Same layouit as Domestic airport, badly built, badly finished, cheap. How much the contractors and politicians must have cheated!

This is a highway strip airfield as it is primarily used by motor vehicles, trucks and buses. Aviation use is limited to general aviation. I have to wonder with all the civilian traffic, how aircraft land without hitting a more vehicles or pedestrian as there is no control tower.
