Wrong Location
This is an old location. The FAA had it wrong for a long time. The field is about 1 mile east of the airplane icon.

Rapidly changing weather conditions, hazards on runway
This is a tough airport to operate from. Rising terrain on the North side, with a hill off the East end of the runway. Winds are generally no more than 10-15 knots and almost always from the South. Winds tend to favor Runway 10. Generally 3 movements per day with Wings Air and Expressair. The weather reports are very vague and somewhat unreliable.
Wild dogs live at the airport and sometimes walk around on the runway. They will avoid you if you approach them. People walk and children play on the runway. Ensure that the runway is clear before commencing an approach.
The radio operators will provide weather reports and can speak English, as long as you speak in ICAO phraseology. It helps to call repeatedly, if you do not get a response, as they are sometimes not in the tower.
Busy airport, good English speaking controllers
The airport has a movement on average every 5-10 minutes, making it a busy airport by Indonesian standards. The controllers can speak English well and are happy to provide weather to incoming or departing aircraft. Due to the single taxiway, you can expect the occasional delay when attempting to taxi. The terminal has lots of snacks and there are lots of taxis that can take you into town.

Can't see an airport in the satellite imagery, despite the ICAO listing for YCAA. Marking as "closed" until someone can confirm that it actually (still) exists.

Boaro Airport
B S L management should come forward & take initiatives with the help of Central & States government for starting the commercial small plain services.
Management also need to talk with D G C A & the private airlines operators . At the same time B S L should modernize & expand the airport infrastructure by providing the basic requirement like (Terminal building, A T C tower,Parking area, etc. )

Again madc and maharastra government is delaying the works in vidharbha region of maharastra eg: amravati airport,amravati sez,mihan nagpur,amravati-nagpur-akola four laning of NH-6. dam works in amravati region like pedhi dam,gadga dam,tapi dam etc.delaired/announced/approved garment cluster in amravati.

it's utter waste company madc and the government in maharastra which takes 4-5 years to develope a existing airstrip in amravati to a fullfledged airport for domestic operations, highly mismangement by the government and it's airport developement company madc shame on both of them,they are giving bad name to maharastra as well as vidhrbha.shame shame shame on their slow process.

it's the need of the hour for the maharastra government to develope amravati airport at the earliest as the sez progress will also get affected if the madc and maharastra government does not develope amravati airport in less time.the sez project will also fail as there won't be a supporting airport for the sez.

Just north of Arkhangelsk in Russia, Onega Andozero is no longer an active airbase. Residents from the little village of Andozero drive on a road straight across the middle of the runway to get to the main highway.

I guess you could say that. A very "special attitude" indeed. They are usually very mean to the Vietnamese origin people. It felt almost like they harrassed us. You would think they are nice to their own people. I dread going to Vietnam because of that.

Don't transfer here
Not a fun place to transfer after an overnight international flight. Shift change at customs happens at 6:00, and the customs line did not move for 1/2 hour, as it grew longer and longer. Have to reclear security to transfer from the international terminal to a domestic flight at terminal 3, and construction made things painfully slow there (once we all found a way in).
Choose any other airport, even Atlanta or Chicago.

New Airport
Its shame on politicians, because of there own hidden agendas, how they have stopped growth of Punjab and Hry. If the new airport would have come up in time, you might be able to land directly in Chd from so many international desitnations. Shame, Shame

I understand that Antonio Maceo airport had some severe damage from the hurricane and was not accepting flights. Have all flight schedules resumed? If not, when will that happen?
