Just had to pay a bribe at Tan Son Nhat Airport
I just arrived in Ho Chi Minh from Singapore.
To those that said "I have traveled to HCM many times but was never stop to pay a bribe". Good luck to you so far. I have traveled to HCM countless times too, but finally, I had to bribed the A-hole officer.
I was scanning my bag at the x-ray machine, when the officer pulled me over. I had 2 iphones in my bag. He said I had to pay a tax of 10%, amounting to S$100. Under pressure of not wanting to lose my iphones, I paid the bribe of $100.
Seriously, Vietnam has to got to get its act together. When people ask me about Vietnam, I tell them the food is good etc, but I say the police and the airport is corrupt. If that is the image that Vietnam wants to create, then so be it.

hello po.. hihingi po sana ko ng konting kaalaman or impormasyon kung sinuman po ung nkaexperience ng overstay sa previous country na pinuntahan? may possibility pa po ba mkaalis.
back dec. 2015 po kc ngvisit kmi sa vietnam with our son para imeet ang husband ko. Then ng tuloy po kmi to bulgaria after magrant yung visa nmn from consul in vietnam. ng stay po kmi sa house nmn dun, without realizing ng overstay na pla kmi ng bby ko ng four days. pero hnde nmn po kmi pinagalitan or pinagbayad ng penalty sa immigration ng bulgaria. iniremind lng po kmi to count the days next time.
May plan po kc kmi mgholiday ulet to thailand this xmas, mgttravel po aq with my baby 1 yr.old, although i been to several asian countries po and been to thailand as well.. ngkaron po aq ng worry from our previous visit in bulgaria. Unemployed ako since May 2016. Nag travel ako ng solo to JapanxTaiwan nung July-August. I just told the IO na kaka-resign ko lang from my job. Tinanong nya yung previous employer ko at gano ako katagal dun. Familiar sya sa company kaya nahulaan nya na engineer ako. Tapos ayun, nagkwentuhan na lang kami at pinalampas naman nya ko after. Pero yung passport ko may tatak na din from 3 asean countries, nakatulong siguro yun. This November balak ko naman IndonesiaxMalaysiaxSingapore. Tapos Doha by December (pero hindi direct). Ayun, unemployed pa din ako ngayon. Kailangan lang magdamit ng maayos at disente, maging confident pero wag mayabang. Always be courteous, a little greeting wouldn't hurt. And be direct to the point.

Announcements
The amount of announcements that the chennai airport makes is so annoying. When most of the metro stations have shut all announcements I don't understand why chennai can't follow the same. If I have halt in chennai I cnt even shut my eyes for a second. I travel all over the world and this is the worst airport to have a halt. Pre boarding post boarding last call is made 100 times. And the staff of all the airlines are shouting as if they are in some rally.

First time ko po magtour sa ibang bansa which is Singapore pero ang balak ko talaga is dumaan lang dun pntang malaysia to meet my filipino boyfriend. Nakaprepare na lahat ng documents niya like COE, payslip, invitation letter at copy of passport . pati ung akin nakaprepare na dn. Magtotour lang talaga ako dun. Ano ang dapat kong gawin? Dapat i-include ng mga airlines at travel agencies sa services nila ang travel briefing lalo na yung mga baguhang lalabas ng bansa. Para hindi sila aanga anga lalo na pagharap sa immigration hindi yung pera pera lang din. Opinion ko lang.

I think po magchecheck lang sila ng gamit pag may bawal ka na dala na gamit na nadetect ng machine nila. I never experience anything like that. Its your personal right not to check your bag coz its your private property. :) For the mean time, i hope you pass the IO interrogation though. Good luck :)

Hello plan ko po daan ng SG punta dubai para maghanap ng work. Kasama ko friend ko na tour lang talaga pakay sa SG. Ask ko lang po if nagbubuklat ba ng hand-carry baggage yung mga IO? Kasi plan ko magdala ng pang-business attire like slacks, skirt and blazer? Salamat po. Yung mga docs ko pang-apply ipapacourier ko na lang as in wala me dadalhin sa hand-carry ko na anumang docs or items na mahahalatang magwowork ako. Yun lang mga damit na dadalhin ko in case. Thank you ulit. :)
