re: Uninhabited island

Reply to @david: The complication here is that listing this as "France" defaults it to being in Europe, which geographically, it absolutely clearly isn't! Unfortunately, unlike every other French possession, it lacks its own jurisdictional codes ... for now.

Charles de Gaulle Airport

Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport is the principal airport serving the French capital, Paris, and the largest international airport in France. Opened in 1974, it is in Roissy-en-France, 23 km northeast of Paris and is named after statesperson Charles de Gaulle.

Charles de Gaulle Airport serves as the principal hub for Air France and a destination for other legacy carriers, as well as a focus city for low-cost carriers easyJet and Vueling. It is operated by Groupe ADP under the brand Paris Aéroport.

Hi,

Since this is the only airport in this case, I suggesting creating 2 entries for this airport:

BSL/LSZM for the Swiss part

MLH/LFSB for the French part

or adding a field : "Other/Former codes" with a list of comma-separated other codes (currently sometimes in "Keywords")

Location for baggage collection in a strange place. I ended up out of the "safe" zone, and then I had to go back in to the baggage collection area. Weird.

re: Multiple IATA/ICAO codes

Reply to @dmomper: Right now, there's no capability, but I've added "LSZM" and the extra IATA codes to the keywords, so that they'll at least show up in searches.

re: new info

Reply to @Jan_Olieslagers: Updated the airport name and code, and added a link to the Wikipedia article.

Uninhabited island

This island in the Pacific Ocean is uninhabited (except by occasional expeditions or cast-aways), and is a direct possession of France rather than part of one of its overseas territories. It does not belong to any Region or Department.

re: LFSL

Reply to @Tgd: Thanks for the update! We're a community-driven initiative, and if you have time, you are very welcome to edit the airport entry to make the changes. If not, then hopefully one of our other volunteers will have a chance to get to it.

Friendliest airport/club

We arrived there in G-FIZZ back in October we were treated to a tour of the museum and biplane aircraft. The club chairman insisted we put our aircraft in the hanger for the night.

Looking forward to returning.

Best lunch

The terminal building is sometimes open, if not then you don't pay landing fees. If no ATC then you have to speak French & close your flight plan by calling Rennes or Brest. There is a gate at the left side of terminal, the current code is 1970 then lunch at the Routier café 2 mins walk to the right, (spot the lorries!) Excellent value @ 13euros including wine, not that you will be drinking...
