Watch out for the Ships!
Great airport to visit! You can watch giant lake freighters said across the grass (at least that's how it looks from the ramp). Ask for a ride into the fish place. Great food!

Took my flight test here with Dottie on President's Day, 2000.
Truck Stop!
Great little grass runway airport. Park next to the semi's at the north end of the runway and walkin to the country diner truck stop. Great food!
Tractor Show
Love to fly into here in August for the antique tractor show. They will give you a ride over and come get you to go home. Nice airport.

Landed here in a 1964 172 during my night cross country in the fall of 1999
Great little airport,
Towered, breakfast and lunch restaurant on the ramp, and a great little WW2 museum. Used to be a glider training base.
Almost gone...
Nothing left but the runway. Pretty sad, grew up about a mile off the end of the runway, used to be very busy with well over a hundred based planes... sigh

I know who owned this strip up to and maybe even current, the strip is ideal for LSA, Gyro even VH registered aircraft up to Piper Arrow etc. There was fuel and a lunchroom and a bunk to rest.

Darbhanga Airport revival
There is a chance of Darbhanga airport revival in the second round of UDAN Scheme. There is a good chance of Darbhanga-Delhi, Darbhanga-Bangalore flight. We will come to know on 20th Dec, when final result will be announced.

Security Check totally inappropriate !!
I just got back from an overseas trip and was flying from OR Tambo to King Shaka.. when I went through the security check, the scanner had beeped so I was pulled aside to be searched.
I think it is totally unhygienic and inappropriate that the security do not wear gloves when they conduct the search on your body.
No one would want someone else to be touching their clothes especially when we don't know where those hands have been.
The airport security company should definitely implement a new way of conducting the search. Making sure that they include wearing of gloves when conducting a search

Ask ko lang po naofload po kasi ako last Nov 3, 2017 sa naia terminal 3 pero may binigay sila na need ko icomply kaya lang nung inapply nako ng cousin ko nireject ng consulate sa embassy dahil ang binibigyan lang daw nila ay 2nd degree. Ano po kayang pwede pang option? Thanks in advance.
