the people in salem were in the need of aiport. coz of development in city and population growth and it is fifth largest city in tamilnadu. Most of all it have steel plant, it is a largest fruit market in tamilnadu, now there comes a salem railway division, salem bus division has the headquaters for namakkal, dharmapuri and krishnagiri and hosur districts. without airport its very difficult for people.

As the Local Chief Executive of the municipality of Ubay, Bohol, it is my great dream that the long-time sleeping airstrip that was catering the Filipino-American soldiers using their aircrafts during the second World War and the post war era, will be developed and be given much attention by the national leadership of President Noynoy Aquino thru CAAP, because I believe that once operational with complete navigational facilities, it would greatly enhance economic development in the area specifically for Ubay and the neighboring towns in this northeastern basin of the beautiful province of Bohol.
At present, the airport has 300-meter concrete pavement constructed during the time of late Governor Erico B. Aumentado and former Congressman Roberto Cajes, thanks for their tireless efforts and concerns for Ubay. We had already a prior meeting with now Cong. Erico Aristotle Aumentado, the emerging leadership tycoon of Bohol and son of late governor Erico Aumentado, together with some CAAP personnel re; future development of this facility. The honorable Governor Edgardo M. Chatto (LP) also showed interest to facilitate the improvement of the aforesaid airport.
With the "Build Bohol Back Better" program of the government, I can feel it in my heart that the National Government, thru His Excellency President Benigno Simeon Aquino III will provide the best option for the fulfillment of this dream and definitely implement the rehabilitation/enhancement of the Ubay, Bohol Airport to sustain development in the Eco-Tourism-rich island province of Bohol.

Salem has more population.without the airport how people can manage. More people are going to Bangalore which is about 250km away from Salem which can take about 5hrs to reach for that we can go to srilanka from Salem by a plane so please try to open the airport by the end of the month. Thank you.

Dục Mỹ airstrip today (2015)
Today the airstrip at Dục Mỹ is used for drying a root that is used for cattle and pig feed. The chipped roots are spread out along the entire length of runway as well as along the parallel taxiway. No sign of a control tower or any other original buildings.
xray luggage not monitor properly
I took the last flight from Bacolod to Manila on Jan 27, 2015, while waiting for my flight I did notice the lady who supposed to be in charge for luggage xray was busy with her phone instead of monitoring the xray. For 3 hours she spent more time on her phone than doing her job properly. Is our airport safe?????

Reply to @Hayato: Somebody should create the new airport here. I don't have pilot information, but I do have the new name is "New Ishigaki Airport" and the location is 24.396389, 124.245. Elevation is 93ft. Same ICAO id as the old one.

On March 7, 2013, Ishigaki airport, transfer, and became a New Ishigaki Airport.
Along with this, the old Ishigaki Airport has been closed.

hi guys any tips naman on how to pass to our immigration officer. kinakabahan kasi ako. hehe. its my first time to travel outside the country and all by myslef. my flight will be nextweek. march 13-18, 2015. i laready have all the documents. like new passport, round ticket, hotel accomodation, COE, company id, pocket money. credit card. wala lang ako government issued ids.

Muzaffarpur is second capital of bihar and capital of north bihar that is northern side of gangas river in bihar and capital of about 22 district of north bihar purnea to saran commissary .muzaffarpur is largest/biggest city of north bihar due to its geographical and center govt. policy but patna is bigger city due to only govt policies of bihar because bihar govt always ignore north bihar. all india medical sciences (aiims )should must in muzaffarpur.govt should give zoo, museum, platarium and also a big airport in muzaffarpur north nihar . govt regional offices and high court bench should be in muzaffarpur.and a big airport also should be in muzaffarpur not in patna because north bihar population is near about 7 crores.only muzaffarpur city is center point so govt should take initiative.

If you look at last few years, all neighboring airports to Salem are having good increase in passenger traffice and Salem region contributes considerably to their growth. These days it takes longer to reach from Hosur to Bangalore airport than reaching Salem airport due to the traffic. Salem airport has immense potential if any carrier strategically opens its operation here. Also government should provide fuel concession to encourage the operators to consider Salem.

Outrageous waiting policy
At no other airport IN THE WORLD have I ever experienced the obnoxious policy of no waiting indoors. What am I to do while I wait for my 2:16 am flight early the following morning? Wait on the curb. Easier said than done when you arrive in Chennai at 5:30 on an overnight train and want nothing more than to relax in air con and rest for the afternoon...rather than haul your luggage around the sticky city, killing time for the sake of killing time. This is bullshit. This is not a policy of international airports.

Salem (Tamil nadu, India) is well connected with chennai, bangaluru, trichy, coimbatore & madurai.. By road way as well as by train except trichy and maduri. The all above cities are located at less than 200 as well as more than 140 km. This is the reason behind air connectivity fails... Salem city has more than 11 laks city population. Major industries like steel plants, sago industries, text tiles also one of the most business area around state as well as country. In future IT companies are going to occupy.. So we need flight connectivity for improving our city life style.. As of now we don't want direct connectivity flight to chennai. We need air connectivity. So think about possible way like kochin-chennai as kochin-salem-chennai. Similarly trivandrum-hyderabad as trivandrum-salem-hyderabad. I think this may work out... Because we don't have proper direct trains from salem to other part of state as well as country. But we have lot of train connectivity around our country. This is the fact of our city... Some thing we are looking for change...
