Airport Identifiers
YSN is still the IATA identifier for Salmon Arm. St. Catherines is CYSN (IATA: YCM)
The strip
The guys complaining about the field must be using shopping cart wheels on their planes because its really nice and yes it has a bit of a hump but so does a camel?
Cant beet Bradford
Nice bunch of guys who fly and dont just talk about flying
General Aviation not welcome there
The National Defence ask 14$ landing fees and Promotion Saguenay ask another 16$. An additionnal 25$ fees per passenger was requested and 35$ for daytime parking. Considering that I had 3 passengers on that day, the journey costed me 140$, which is very expensive in comparison to similar airport size.

No bar or restaurant
I am presently sitting in the international departures area with a two and a half hour wait for my flight. After quite a stressful morning getting to the airport, checking in and clearing security, my wife said she would like to relax with a glass of wine. A cold beer would have been very welcome to me as well. On searching Departures however, I couldn't find a bar or even a proper restaurant --- just an array of fast food joints that I normally avoid at all costs. On enquiring in a duty free shop I was told that indeed there was nowhere to get a glass of wine other than in the airline lounges. For a major international airport this is really. Not good enough.

122.8 is local floatplane frequency and Kenora airport is 12

Seaplane base is across from hospital, not where the anchor
Kenora seaplane base is across from hospital on T-docks and not where the map indicates it is. There is 100LL and jet fuel available on River air side and 100 LL on Kenora Air side of dock. Takeoffs are outside the bay running almost East/West and no high speed taxiing in past buoy. Boats won't slow down for you or get out of the way.
Fuel Prices 100LL and Jet A
100LL is $1.199/litre; Jet A is $0.899/litre
A 70's airport
Very nice if you want to dive into the past. Apparently no developments since 40 year either in services and structure. It took 1 hour to receive luggage after landing from Vancouver. Everything is old fashioned and not at all in line with airports of lesser developed countries.
Really a bad experience
Backyard
does not look long enough from the air but there are a few planes on the ground including a big twin. flight sup says power lines are unmarked but there was a single marker visible. very nice area and close to lake simcoe and scugog, alot of traffic in the area.
doors
i would like to speak to someone about hangar doors.

Vandals
Do not leave your airplane unattended at this place. Very bad for vandalism after hours. Sad but true and the town of winterland or the rcmp don't seem to care.
Is this still in use?
I was just wondering if this small airport was still open? And who do you have to get in touch with to see if a small plane could land there
Flying a drone
Hello,
I want to fly a drone in my farm in Saint Cesaire which is close (4kms approx.) to a small airdrome and far away from the main airports.
I just want to make sure I'm not braking any law by doing that on my private land.
Thanks for your advice.

Probably one of the most nicely decorated airports around.
However, do they need to be spending that much money on decorating it?
There is alot of space that could be better utilized with seating. i.e. a water stream?
There is alot of artwork and the aquarium but most of it is in the departure / arrival sections, so unless you are traveling, you can't see it.
It's not like people visit the airport because it's an attraction, most just want to travel !!
I don't have a problem with this so much, in itself, but it comes at a cost to airport users.
A $20 fee airport improvement fee.
I would rather see a reduced / removed fee, and have a more "plain" airport.
I'm not a huge traveller, but have travelled to many countries and I haven't seen any that are as nice, but again,
at a cost which I'd rather not incur.
Great place to fly into
Wonderful airport, got to watch some aerobatics. The fuel tank owner was so friendly and helpful. Like the person above below I too got a free beverage and help filling my plane. People around the airport we all really friendly.
Fixed record
Merged duplicate identifiers
Trying to locate a certain biplane.
Hello there. I live in Petersfield, Mb. I have seen a blue bi-plane flying around my area. I don't have any other info to give you. I want to contact the pilot, to see if it's possible to go up in it. I see when the pilot heads south of Petersfield when done flying around here. I'm assuming he's heading back home. My brother who is a pilot and lives by St Andrews airport, doesn't know anything about it. He helps out at the airport, and would know something about it if it's from there. I am guessing the plane is at Oak Hammock air park. Do you know of this plane? Thanks.

bella bella to bella coola
is there a flight service between these places
Re: ZNA location
I verified the latitude and longitude against the WAS (Water Aerodrome Supplement) and they have 49.18333N,123.95W.
ZNA location
the harbour air icon on the map looks to be in someone's front yard!
Heliports look right though.
Worth the trip for the Fish & Chips
Make sure you check their website about fuel availability as it isn't constant.
There is a $5 landing fee, if the attendant is there you pay him, otherwise it's on the honour system. They're trying to raise funds to redo the runway and they are currently at 150K / 990K, so don't be a jerk, and make sure you pay even if there is no one collecting.
Call Herberts and they'll pick you up and drop you off, though the walk isn't too bad ~1.5Km.
It's a very popular fly in spot so you can expect a fair bit of traffic. Communicate on the radio and keep an eye out!
You can also get fuel at Manitoulin East or Parry Sound, which are a bit cheaper.
Good spot!
Great fuel stop. 100LL was $1.99/L tax included.
Staff was friendly and helpful!

Great little airport. Fantastic buttertarts!
Known for their legendary buttertarts, be sure to add this to your list for the 100$ hamburger.
Occasional wildlife, so keep an eye out, and it's a popular training spot.
Beautiful Scenery and Nice Airport
Visited mid May, a bit of traffic. Unicom won't answer but other local pilot will help if on frequency. Airport staff is very friendly and free wifi inside for pilots use! Very good place.
Nice Airport
Very nice airport, went mid May. Not a lot of traffic and friendly Unicom-
DELETE THIS. Duplicate to CYHS (CPN4) Hanover/Saugeen Munici
This is a dupe and should be deleted.
Horrible lines
They know how many flights are coming in, why can't they staff customs properly? Had to line up upstairs before making it downstairs for a hall of more line ups. Over an hour in line. Ridiculous. I'll fly though Buffalo though I like in Toronto.
Eyes open when using.
Runway is gravel. As of May/2016 runway is in very good condition with some loose crushed rock/gravel on surface. Caution on shoulders/edges as are much softer than main operating surface of r/w. Runway is maintained by MB government Dept of Conservation for use as required as SEAT reload base. Before use, is recommended contact with Lac du Bonnet Fire Centre to obtain any required permission for access and for any know runway conditions. Use caution on t/o and landing as runway is crossed by road serving small quarry a cpl hundred metres north of runway edge. Also has been known to be used by ATVs and trail bikes. Very suitable for most a/c in size up to PA31 or Cessna 400 series or even Twin Otter....depends how much flying gravel you're prepared to risk. Lots of parking area in SE corner.Main issue to using runway would be any squirrelly cross-wind caused by relatively narrow clear-way in which r/w is situated....other than that , enjoy your flight.

Everything seemed clean and well maintained. No one seemed to mind that I was an Ultralight. Beautiful scenery all around.
STOLport
This is a unique little strip - short with a healthy incline starting at 1/2 field. Not for beginners or the faint of heart!
It is in the local practice area and the regional flight schools bring their commercial students here for STOL practice before sending them out west or overseas .
Looks very cool, and a little scary.
Adequate at best
This has not been much of an airport since the early 90s. No takeoffs after 1030 pm. (in anything!) Fuel extremely expensive. Poor TBOs.
This airport has squandered every opportunity it has ever been provided (Peterborough is now reaping those rewards)

The Town of Thessalon has recently put this airstrip up for sale. So future of the strip is unknown.
meetings
are they still the second friday of the month?
Nice Airport
Seems to be very well maintained.
A very nice little restaurant with good prices.
Nice place!
Nice field and great people! There is an RAA bbq there in early June this year.
