It is wonderful airport with excellent infrastructure. Should be able to take up international flights.The hill in the approach of RWY 26 if chopped by few meters, the airport can take B747 operations.The only one to do so in Rajasthan (B747 operations)

I parked the tempo traveller van TN 31 AE 0701[ AKR Group] on 3-11-2011 at 06.00 AM in ordinary car parking area beyond police station. They issued a machine receipt RS 100/- for premium parking . When I came back with my family at 11.45 AM they asked to pay RS 100/- more. But in AIRPORT AUTHORITY OF INDIA displayed tariff is VAN/MINIBUS/COACH Rs 70/-. The contractor KARNATAKA AVIATION SUPPORT SERVICE PVT LTD [KASS] Collecting unauthorised charges for van parking. So kindly take necessary action and suggest to fix boards indicating van /car premium and ordinary charges/ areas, also advice to licensee to avoid this types of robberies.

Dear CM Mr. Nitish Kumar Sahab,
You are undoubtedly the ever best CM that our state has seen who holds so much hunger for the development. Yet there are a lot of grey areas in your state which you can easily overcome without putting an oil & butter.
One such is by starting the much demanded Muzaffarpur airport for which I am sure the Govt. has nothing to do save a nod as a lot of Airtransport Companies would be in queue to get the permission to start their services. The Govt. of Bihar must ponder over it. By starting the MUZAFFARPUR Airport at Patahi, not only the tourism may get a boost but also the state may write a new chapter in the development process besides fulfilling the promise of providing good facilities to the people of Bihar. Hope this request may witness the daylight soon.

The callous and lethargic attitude of our local politicians have taken a heavy toll on the development plans of Jeypore region. The airstrip at Jeypore was built in the year 1962 and by now it should have been a key air connectivity centre in the tribal hinterland. 25 years back Vayudoot airlines conducted regular flights from Bhubaneswar, Vishakhapatnam and Raipur and now there's no service thanks to our shameless politicians. By now there should have been at least a daily flight each from BBSR, Vizag and Raipur given the number of people travelling to those places on a daily basis for business, trade and other official activities. The only train that plies between BBSR and Jyp is insufficient to handle the passengers and generally overcrowded. Hence it is imperative that the airstrip at Jeypore should be developed immediately to handle at least three daily flights so that people from the region and also the neihbouring Chhatisgarh, could benefit immensely.

Nadirgul is a small airstrip, 12 nm South-East of Hyderabad located on the Nagarjuna Sagar Highway. Nadirgul airfield has two runways both of which are just about 3000' long and 75' wide. The main runway is paved, while the second runway is un-paved.
This airfield has been serving primarily the needs of the aspiring trainee pilots in Hyderabad. As of now Andhra Pradesh Flying Club(APFC), Flytech Aviation Academy and Rajiv Gandhi Aviation Academy(RGAA) are using this field to train pilots. Flytech Aviation has set up its own hangar in this field.
Nadirgul has no instrument approach procedure laid as there are no radio navigational equipment installed. Nadirgul is classified to VMC conditions and no night landing facilities like REIL, REL, ALS, Taxiway lights, PAPI and VASI etc. are installed. The runway orientation is 10-28 paved surface. Interestingly, Nadirgul has an unpaved runway RW10R-RW28L parallel to the paved(and main)runway. The runway is slightly inclined towards RW28 (RW28 is 1804' and RW10 is 1790'). Local surface winds favor the use of RW28 till the late August and RW10 till the late February. Though not designated (and maintained) as a runway, a specific portion of the airfield is left as a cross-runway (RW14-RW32 they call). Though not often used, the primary idea is to facilitate any emergency landings, if needed during the training flights(trainees mostly fly single engine planes like Cessna 152 and Cessna 172). The circuit altitude is 2600' and the pattern is South of the field as North of Nadirgul is residential area. For all practical purposes, METAR and TAFOR issued for Hyderabad airport are used. Also, there is no specific ATC here, but the trainees usually do the needful.
After the opening of the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport at Shamshabad, all the training flights were supposed to be shifted to the Begumpet Airport. But Nadirgul still remains active in service.

My emotions with Bokaro is very high because I have grown myself educatiionaly there only. Now I am retired from Indian Air Force as an Assistan Flying Contoller/flight operaion manager/Apron and hanger manager and looking for job in Bokaro only because my father had also serve for SAIL for 26 years in BSP.I too want to serve for SAIL. So, I am just waiting and watching when it will become operational and I get a chance to serve. . . . . . .

Bokaro airport is already capable to handle the flights regularly because it has the proper infra for the facilities. Even the Runway is far longer than Jamshedpur. But it is not becoming operational because of the management and the DGCA who is giving the permission for flight operation from a particuar aiport/aerdromes. One fine day it will be operational. It is sure ..... Just wait and watch...

Latest news about Jeypore Airport
Hearty news for the people of Jeypore and the surrounding areas. Jeypore Airport is going to be developed at a cost of 2.53 crore and the work will start during November 2011. Plans are also afoot to develop the Airport to handle 16 seater aircraft and the plan has been sent to Airport Authority of India for approval. In future the airport is to be built in an area of 800 acres of land from the present 54 acres. So in next two years people of Jeypore will be travelling by air.

Had they developed the Hosur airport well, they could have avoided a huge expenditure in constructing Devanahalli airport....anyway that land belonged to a politician and he pressurised the Govt. into buying it at a huge cost for airport development.
