Anyone know if Angus Air is still in business ? I know someone who is interested in starting a charter business in Canada with that name.
very sad - International Transfer
I have been three times to O'Tambo airport within the past 2 weeks and with the exception of a 21 hour landing internationally and leaving internationally I have had negative experiences. There seems to be 6 or 7 desks but every time I had to go thru the international transfer it was manned by only 3 people and unfortunately with the introduction of fingerprint scan and picture taken it takes time so there is always chaos there. I am surprised how this has not been addressed to date and not sure this site is going to do anything about it.
People are missing flights, people are tired having to stand in line for a long time after getting off a long 16 hour flight only to get to their connecting flight. It makes little sense since we aren't leaving the airport. We are transferring.
Wish someone looked into this a bit more seriously...

Mag coconnecting flight po kasi ako via Singapore to UAE because I will be working po sana to UAE. but Nadiscover po kasi ng IO that I have a visa for Dubai. Yup. Baka mag-extend na lang ako dito sa Malaysia since may visa naman ako na pwede iextend. Ang hirap makalabas ng Pinas. Pero sana yung mga nagbabalak na wag umuwi ng Pinas, siguraduhin nyong legal pa rin ang papers nyo sa country kung san kayo magsstay para hindi nasstereotype yung mga gustong magtravel dahil sa mga illegal workers!!

Actually last time, 2015 pumunta ako ng Dubai kasama ung anak ng nag ampon sakin, though hindi ko siya kaapelido. Aun nahold ako, tinanong kung may work ako, kaso that time wala ako work. MAy mga tinanong lang tapos aun tatak na agad. O mabait lang talaga ung natapat na OI. Bukas punta ulit ako dubai. Sana makalusot. Do u think guys kaya pa makalusot? Custom Officers (Beggars)
I have very bad experience with the Custom Officers at Ahemedabad, Once we finish picking our luggage from carousel and proceed toward the channel for verifying there are a gang of so called cheap custom officer (Mafia) who even dont no proper language or dont know to behave in a gentleman way will ask "Passport dikhana" they will take our passport and than tell us get verified your luggage and come back than they will ask why you travel so frequently so i asked is it restricted in our Country to travel in such.
Than they will start using bad languages even our family is with us they dont care than when they are exhausted finding nothing than they will tell you came from very far try to give the "baskhish" or "Chai Pani". while wasting our precious time nobody to punish this culprits.
I have traveled almost more than 10 countries internationaly but only such behavior is in our country and that to with the Citizens.
The big question mark is are they really gave some kind of examination for such post or they gave huge money to take the position and than they want to recover such paid money??????
Let us together fight against this corruption and dont give them a single coin from our hard earned money.

Visitor come with Relative Visa issued in country of Origion - Customs Official at OR Tambo asks - Why is Visa issued abroad and not in South Africa - I tried to speak to official - I ask her name - she say its OFFICER - I ask kindly you name - "hey..hey..hey...you want to speak to me or not?" and handed the phone back. WTF? Home Affairs does mpy understand their own Immigration legislation?
re: Chileka airport club
I used to cycle from Limbe to Chileka once or twice a week, around 1967 - 1970 era, and the folks used to meet the Samuel family there for drinks every Sunday - my father was in the Nyasaland police, thereafter Malawi Police, (initially in Zomba and then i/c of the police training school in Limbe). I wonder if the club is still operative?
