Amravati airport and amravati sez developement are important issues and the dam on tapi river in dharni taluqa in amravati district is the need of the hour as the amravati sez is supplying water to amravati sez specially the the india bulls thermal power plant which needs high amount of water.

for amravati district developement plan government has sanctioned only 147 crore insted of the actual mininimum demand of over 310 crores. lets's see how much get approved by ncp minister ajit pawar.people and leaders from amravati region must ask about the fund and speedy work of amravati airport.

Maharastra government must be awarded for it's slow developement work and it's company madc for doing the slowest work and put their names in limca book of world records and guinness book of world records specially in the case of amravati sez and amravati airport and lot of other projects in nagpur and amravati regions of maharastra.

There is zero developement at the site of amravati airport, if anybody finds any developement,please let us know.let call the cheif minister and civial aviation minister to check the developement as it has been more than 3 years after the announcement of development of Amravati airport.

Karad airport:- There is no proposal to develop airport at Karad, at present, as it is 75 Km. from Kolhapur. This is the update on the madc website in the projects section.
now just check for another update

There is tender for developement of karad and shirdi airport both are in western maharastra what about the developement of amravati airport which was announced earlier however on madc site it was mentioned that there is no need to develope karad airport as it's very near from the other airports nearby around 40-60 kms. it's again the partiality by maharastra government and maharastra airport developement company. amravati airport comes under vidhrbha region is it not in maharastra. or is it a seperate stated, please provide the details.

It's funny how the Philippine government don't realize the impact of a good airport in attracting more foreigners. Regardless of the tourist spots we have, if the impression is always bad when they were welcomed at the airport, we can never go far. Found an infographic at philippineairportmemes.tumblr.com on why Philippine airports suck. Very interesting read.

FYI, you cannot park your plane here. If you need to drop passengers off, you will need to relocate down to Hewanorra to park. And it takes almost 2 hours to drive up to the north end of the island from Hewanorra. Get a taxi, do not attempt to drive yourself, unless you want to die young! And make sure you get a clearance before you start engines.

there is no developement work started at the site of amravati airport there are lot of news in the local news papers and local news channels,however those are just like paid publicity,however in ground reality all can go and check the amravti airport site you will not see a single stone moved or a single sand particle,cement,charcoal,steel available for the so called developement of the airport even the tender is not called by the government for the developement of amravti airport, it's just a big joke for people in amravati region and vidhrbha.be aware of misleading informations and false promises of developement.jai vidhrbha to hell with maharastra and it's government, we will get seperated along with telangana.

NCP and because of NCP congress also unable to devleope the industrialisation,airports,health services like super speciality hospitals,cancer hospitals,government medical colleges, the best examples are Amravati sez which is no more a sez and no big industry has come other than india bulls power plant,amravati airport there is no developement at the amravati airport site.this all shows that how they are developeing vidharbha,garment cluster was announced in so called amravati sez still after years there is no developement of garment cluster in amravati sez.

Amravati airport will not be developed as long as congress works jointly with NCP as NCP is opposing to provide funds to any other part of maharastra other than western maharastra.

Still a challenging little strip with sea breezes. Town of Cedar key (shops, eateries, etc) is a bit depressed for past few years.
KSGJ - St Augustine Airport - FL
Nice Airport along Florida's East Coast - Florida Flyers very helpful with local flying information, tips. Enjoyed a coast line sightsee - views are fantastic.
KGNV - Gainesville - FL
An easy to locate airport, NE of City, North tip of Newnans Lake. Friendly controllers. Was able to use an available hanger over holidays free of charge (did buy fuel though).

BC Airlines float base on Powell Lake 1957-58
Maurie Mercer was BC Airlines base pilot on Powell Lake in 1958 when I was working for Bill Gaston at the little Shell station there. Mauie gave me my first airplane ride. It was a Cessna 170.. There is no hope for the developement of amravati airport as pratibhatai's term as president is over 6 months ago, nobody is there to ask maharastra government to get the amravati airport developement work completed, nobody is there to ask maharastra government to start the amravati airport developement. bad luck for people of amravati region and vidharbha.

Airport Cerklje is military airport where civilian flights are alowed under certain conditions. PIlots withouth national passports holder must sent request 48 hrs in adwance for landing at airport. Request should be sent to local flying club. Landing and take off are possible outside military working hours.
RWY 1 bearing 27 and 09. 2400 m long, 45 m wide. Concrete with antiskid.
Airport frequency 123,50 (outside working hours).
