Good airport
This is a pleasant, modern, and efficient airport. We had to wait a few minutes for a gate (because we'd landed 35 minutes early), but it wasn't nearly as bad as what I've experienced at YYZ or LAX. After landing, I was through immigration and customs much faster than I would be in a Canadian or US airport, and everyone was friendly and efficient. The car ride into the city was much nicer than, say, the urban blight you seen driving in from Newark.
One tip: travel guides say that it's best to order a car or taxi in Bogotá, rather than just getting into one. I don't know if that applies at the airport as well, but it's not expensive (it cost me about $25 for a car and driver from the airport into the Parque 93 district).

Beja airport registered growth of 495 percent, from a total of 205 passengers in 2011 to the equivalent of slightly more than two Airbus A380s filled to capacity 1,221 passengers << Well Whoppee!! thats official figures for 1 whole year?

grabe na sa bagal magtrabaho ang mga taga dmia manual na nga ang pagreresibo tapos yung mga employees kwentuhan pa ng kwentuhan tawanan lang ng tawanan habang ang mga pasahero ay inip na inip na naghihintay, tapos nagmemerienda pa sa working station which is so humiliating...sa immigration naman habang nag iinterview yung mga nsa cubicle... bgla clang lalapitan ng supervisor at magkukwentuhan na naman ng bonggang bongga... in short... so unprofesdional , nakakahiya!.... imagine, we checked in 4pm... tapos natapos kmi 630 pm na?... muntik nakami hindi maka fly!!!!

[Written on 11/11/2012] The decision to move from Nantes Atlantique Airport in the South of Nantes to Notre Dame Des Landes in the North of Nantes is not yet taken. There is a strong opposition to this project. Moreover, if the new airport opens, the old one will not close because it is used by the AirBus company for assembling the planes.

No. 4 Elementary Flying Training School:
Opened near Windsor Mills on 24 June 1940 under the British Commonwealth Air Training Plan. The school closed on 25 August 1944.
The airfield no longer exists today.

One Man Airport
Private airport, registered and opened for the flying community. Runway is built and maintained so that owner's C182 can use it comfortably. A bit tricky to find the first time, as the lakes around tend to change their size, but absolutely worth visiting. Wayne Wilderman is an awesome person, keeping his airport in a great shape - friendly and open to the visitors. It was great to land there, will be happy to make it there again!
Bournemouth Airport
Viewing area good for runway 26 take off and landing
No longer exists.
This airport was closed in 2001 and the only thing left of it is is a 90m stretch of runway between warehouses in an industrial estate.

Wish ko lang na sana I-privatize na Lang lahat ng airports. At tanggalin Sa trabaho lahat ng mga arrogante, incompetent at mga bwisit na yan. Palitan dapat sila ng mga professional at well trained na mga marunong manhandle ng Tao at hindi yung mga mukhang pera at power trip Lang ang alam.
May karma din yang mga bwisit na mga taga BI.

hi...were you able to leave the country? i also have a tourist visa provided by a friend. but i have an employer there, they just use tourist visa para makarating ako ng dubai ng mas mabilis. im worried with all these rants about the immig. i have the ticket, tourist visa and the affidavit of support. what else do i need to show to the immig officer? thanks

I have an employer there pero ang binigay lang is tourist visa kase minamadali na makarating ako ng dubai, pagdating na lang doon nila ako bibigyan ng working visa. May magbibigay saken ng affidavit of support (isang nurse sya don sa company, pero hinde kami talga magkakilala, we'll just make things up like magbestfriend kmi at sya ang magsusuport saken don) My visa was sponsored by the company she's working in(kung san din ako magwowork) im afraid sa mga interview interview. paano ako mkakalusot if I have a tourist visa?

Can Uganda for Gods sake have a good web site to find information about its airport flight schedules? Its very shaming that you can never and we have a full department of IT in our Universities who can do a better Job. Please employ some of these young men to do work for you Mother Uganda I mean this NRM government.

I found another mention of Chernofski Harbor (link in the pilot info under Wikipedia page) and moved the location to that area.

Passing time
Very quiet airfield - few facilities - If waiting for the Jo'burg service the lodge on the way out (just above the derelict Arava) does a good steak and local beer (in a public restaurant - through main entrance, under (smaller of the two) red roof....)

Will I encounter po kaya all this if hotel booking and tickets and some cash credit card Lang....jobless but supported with my new sg bf po...what is the best thing to do? Probable incorrect location for base
The symbol is atop a hill beside Mailboat Cove, Chernofski, AK. There's nothing up on that hill except grass and crowberry. The ranch buildings can be seen in bottom of aerial photo if one pans cursor that way. The ruins of US military WWII infrastructure is to right, in the northern part of Mutton Cove, an appendix (if you will) of Mailboat Cove with together with Mailboat Cove comprise Chernofski Bay or Harbor. On the hillside above NE corner of Mutton Cove are a hydrant and other remains of US Military presence. There's also a pier and slaughterhouse in that corner and, finally, a little bit left of the coal pile the military put there to heat the place.
I spent January 2010 up there and became quite familiar with the layout.

Runway 03/21 is not available any more since 2012.
A cosy "green" aerodrome, between Apeldoorn and Deventer
This airfield was opened some 75 years ago and is one of the nicest (together with Texel Aerodrome!) in the Netherlands.
With a tarmak runway of 1199x27 meters it can handle bussiness jets too.

Seems to be getting worse
Flew out of Clark this AM as I have done for the past 9 months every week. Counted over 20 persons lined up to be interrogated behind the immigration booths. In fact it seems once your in this position, the chances are you will be off loaded. Even the Cebu Pac/ Miascor groundstaff was removing the pax boarding cards, as I guess she knows there going to be off loaded from experience

how can some one expect improvement in faizabad airport from government when govt has panned a elevated highway at approach of runway at eastern end. can they remove the highway or else planning to remove the runway from maps and sell for the properties.

Beja airport owned by ANA boasts an increase of passenger traffic through the airport of 495% over the last year. Its sounds very impressive when you read it like that, but in face is a paltry slither of an increase from a miniscule 205 passenger foot traffic through the Beja airport last year to 1,221 passenger foot traffic this year. Thats an amazing 102 passengers using the airport every month? Don't get crushed in the stampede.
There are tiny airports in the Scottish Hebrides with more passenger traffic than these numbers, or small regional airport situated in the middle of the Arctic tundra in Siberia, who are ANA trying to fool? These figures are abysmal?
