Maharatstra government is still doing partiality vidharbha as after 4 years of sactioning the developement of amravati airport they have not yet constructed or started to operate the airport which is the urgent need for the growth and developement of the amravati sez, the tapi dam project is still not on the developement list of the maharastra government.and other than india bulls thermal for plant and missile unit has come to amravati sez that to because of partibhatai patil as she was president of india. still the developement work of wagon repair unit of indian railways is also in pending state, and what is happening to garment and textile zone in amravati sez/city.

when the hell the maharastra government will develope the amravati airport, it's already more than 4 years but you will not see any developement at the amravati airport site. bjp,sena and mns have to think about the developement of vidharbha as NCP and CONGRESS are not doing the required basic developement in vidharbha.

don't take coal and electricty from vidhrbha to run industries and thermal power plants out of vidhrbha and give free electricty to vidharbha or else give funds to developement of infrastructure and industries in vidhrrbha or else seperate vidhrbha. enough is enough, from last 60 years we are just getting promise but not much developement. airport is not ready in amravati, tapi dam project is also shifted and completed in muktainagar by eknathrao khadse, all aprty people and leaders are against vidhrbha. better make it a seperate state.

Maharastra government has to develope vidhrbha as soon as possible or must seperate vidharbha along with telangana in andhra pradesh.

when the hell the airport in amravati will be completed baramati town,gondia and nanded all small towns and places are having airports why the hell the airport in amravati city is not developed till now and who is responsible for not developing the airport in a major/big city like amravati. i think the mismanagement of maharastra government and it's companies like madc.

Vidharbha is just getting verbal promises but in actual the maharastra government is not doing good for vidharbha, it has become the most backward region in maharastra there is lot of work and resources to be utilized for the benefit of the state and the region vidhrbha consists of two revenue regions like nagpur and amravati region of which amravati region is the most backward region of maharastra , no operational airport in amravati which is a regional headquarter of amravati region, no comapnies are interested to come to amravati sez as their is no domestic airport facility not much incentives, let us see what happenes after this advantage vidharbha.

Maharastra government and madc has to focus on the developement of amravati airport as it's vey important for the developement of amravati region, maharastra government and the cm is just giving verbal promises whenever he come to amravati and nothing is getting developed after that.

Maharastra government and madc has to speed up the pending work of developement of amravati airport as soon as possible otherwise the amravati sez will get no industries.as there is no other airport operational in amravati city.

The airport is brilliant. Nice terminal. The terminal 3 has ultra-modern facilities and Emirates has provided great service o it's passengers. It is one of the best airports in the world

Between 1950-1962 it was opened for commercial use. The airline I know of was Darbhanga Aviation, owned by Darbhanga Maharaj.

New York to Bacolod-Silay Airport direct flight
By the way, when could be the time that there's a flight direct from New York to Bacolod-Silay Airport? I just hate going to Manila, nothing good to see, masyado kagamo, kagagmay sang mga dalan. Even a stop over on Hongkong or Japan basta direct to Bacolod-Silay ang next flight it will be a great welcome
SG unreliable
The only flight is sg1084 from Bangalore. It is so unreliable that it's 19:20 on 25feb2013, I am at the departure gate, flights schedule deprtr time is 19:20 but the plane has not arrived from its earlier sector.
Unreliable service
Belgaum airport connects people from 500km radius to rest of India. However the flight sg3302 from belgaum to Bangalore is very inreliable. On 18Jan 2013 it was delayed by 3 hrs due to which not only I missed next flight to Kolkata, but I had to wait 5 hrs at Bangalore for next flight and spent exorbitant amount in ticket.
Airport is developing
I am a mumbayite, staying in Gulf - visiting every 2 years....10 yrs back it was dark and dusty - airport was looking like a railway station, but in 2012 . I noticed 75% improvement... Customs also improved....now no bla bla by the officers, some officers still try to fetch some milk from old cows.

government of maharastra is utter waste it is only focused about the developement of western maharastra like baramati and pune,not doing enough for the developement of vidharbha i.e nagpur and amravati region, even the people and leaders of vidhrbha are not aggressive as the leaders and people of telangana in andhra pradesh.

Government of maharastra is not doing anything to complete the developement work in vidhrbha specially amravati region as the pending works like amravati airport,amaravati sez, are still pending from last 5-10 years there is not much developement other than the india bulls thermal power plant in amravati sez bdl has inagurated the site at amravati sez still they have not yet started the construction work at the site, wagon repair unit is still to decide land and the developement is at total halt.dam on tapi river is not yet started which was shifted from dharni tahsil to muktai nagar by bjp minister eknatrao khadse.all works in amravati region,amravati city are pending.
Having Difficulties!
I just back from Jeddah on last Monday and transit at HSIA airport, as we have around 6 hours transit time, we couldn't go anywhere instead mingle around the airport, enduring the mosquito bite is not a good things around this airport as it was stated as International airport.. One thing that I most regret is when the process of check in. That day I am having a bad flu/fever, I am a patient with Asthma Bronchitis problem, when they checking on me, they took my Vicks vaporax and another medical (liquid) but it was less then 20ml.. They even want to take my turbo haler. I told them not to take my turbo haler as it was my life support, if anything happen to me inside a plane how can I survive?? Only then they agreed not to take the turbo haler but still they took those two medicine. I was very upset! Inside the flight I was trembling all the way from Dhaka to Kuala Lumpur, I try to ask the cabin crew but they didn't have any oil to make me warm. It was a nightmare to me!! I will never going back to this airport again in the future!!!!!!!!

The current ruling government in maharastra i.e NCP and CONGRESS is not developeing anything in vidharbha, amravati sez is also without industries and amravati airport is also not developed,dam on tapi river in dharni taluqa of amravati district is not being constructed.

Sana po consistent ang timbangan sa NAIA. Pabalik kami ng USA via Cathay Pacific, ang sabi sa counter, ok ang timbang, pagdating sa gate, bigla akong inistop ni Mr Malabag at sabi ay bumalik daw ako sa counter at over ang handcarry ko. Sabi ko, accdg sa CP counter, ok na, sabi niya, kailangan bumalik ako ulit sa counter. Paglapit ko sa counter, tinanong ng CP counter employee ano po ang problema, sinabi ko na sabi ni Mr Malabag, timbangin mo daw ulit kasi daw pati HANDBAG kasama. I even told the CP employee, na d2 lang sa Pinas ganito kagulo at pati handbag, kasama sa timbang eh di ba dapat handcarry lang. I've been to Europe, Australia and other Asian countries, pero d2 lang sa ating bansa ganito. Accdg sa CP employee, ok naman ang handcarry & handbag ko kasi wala naman akong puedeng tangalin sa handbag ko kung lumabis man ako ng 1k kasi ang laman ng aking handbag ay mga gamot ko at personal na bagay. Pagdating ko ulit sa gate, tinimbang niya ulit at sabi 9k daw ang handcarry ko, sabi ko sa kanya, paano mangyayari yan, eh, lumakad lang ako papunta sa kanya mula sa CP counter, 8k lang. Kaya ang tanong ko kay Mr Malabag, kung eto ba ang tinatawag nating, "It's more fun in the Philippines". Sana po, tignan natin ang mga ganitong issues kasi nakakaupset sa mga balikbayan na tulad namin. Huwag lang sana tayo maging magalang sa mga banyaga, sana pati sa ating mga kababayan na BALIKBAYAN.

ya, i agreed. it is so noisy and irritating. sometimes it is already 10+pm and they are still flying. Really regret to buy a flat there

Agree. Nang paalis ako ng Pilipinas, Di hamak yung pinagdaanan ko sa mga I.O na yan. KAhit natatakan na yong passport ko, nag interogate pa ulit bakit pinayagan dw ako dun sa 1st interview.. Pera lang ata ang habol.

tender and meeting for the planning developement and expansion of karad airport has already taken place what about amravti city which is much bigger city than karad.just because chief minister of maharastra is from karad, he wants a airport urgently over there when pratibhatai patil was president of india from amravti city the government didn't develope the airport in amravati city,there is a airport in baramati for sharad pawar and ajit pawar and airport in gondia for praful patel airport in nanded for ashok chavan then why not a airport in amravati for pratibhatai patil and r.s gawai in amravati city.

maharastra government and it's company are not going to develope amravati airport as they are focusing on developement of solapur ,shirdi,karad all in western maharastra. now sushil kumar shinde has become home minister of india who is from solapur and the cheif minister of maharastra is also from western maharastra. who will take care of vidhrbha's developement, it's better to make vidhrbha a seperate state.
