Information
Airfield that was once certified for ultra-lights, closed in 2010 due to destruction of the runway, by the landowner's decision. The 'Aeroclube de Tavira' expected to have a new runway by the end of the same year in a new location, but such hopes never materialized unfortunately. The old hangar of the airfield is still clearly visible, and if you use the 'historic imagery' function in Google Earth and go back to a date prior to 2010, you'll see the runway very clearly as it once was.
Information
Private airfield open to the public. Certified for Ultra-lights, though runway in very bad condition. Likely it has been left unused and unattended for the last few years.

re: History Of Rose Aviation on Hawthorne Airport from 1963
I trained at Rose Aviation. Jean gave me my check ride in '72. They had a full A&P facility, ground school and rentals. Those were good times and a fun airport to fly out of.
This airport has been closed for years
Drill down to the runway and you will see old "X"s painted. Further it is covered with very large potholes. Please remove MS23 Forest Home Airport -Boatner Howell

Immigration problem
I traveled to China last week on a return ticket to Sa.. I got to Guangzhou airport yesterday to board back and I was not allowed to board because my twin sisters passport was flagged on their system..my plane left me and had to stay for another day because they said SA system is down hence they can't verify my identity
What I don't understand is why I'm being punished for my sister because we are not even identical twins and our passport numbers are not the same, even our ID numbers.
On top of it have been trying to get hold of the immigration office and no answer
I'm stuck in China, have to buy another ticket, extend my hotel
ICAO code is KHTF

Well, here I am, just joined and already telling you what's wrong.
Please understand this is more a question than a comment. I noticed it because it's in my local area.
I notice this airstrip is named Baroco on the Brisbane VTC. The nearby settlement is Kooringal, which makes sense.
Does the airstrip go by both names perhaps?
Regards,
Richard Lee
Name of Airport
This airport is not called Brisbane West. The airport so named is even further West of Toowoomba, and it is a ridiculous distance from Brisbane and extremely deceptively named
Service
Good Service, arrange for prepaid cab service online and price. Local people's are demanding more. Taking advantage due to distance from roadways. Transport corporation can arrange local commutes.

Have had a job around the corner in 2007 and 2008. This looks like a former used military airfield, in 2007 there were 8 of these big helicopters parked, one of them without rotor blades.
Location
You've missed it by 0.5 nm west

β @Leo2789 at Aerodromo da Amareleja, Portugal
Former public aerodrome certified for ultra-lights. Closed and destroyed in 2007 to give way for the construction of the Amareleja Solar farm; one of the biggest in the world.
If you use the 'historic imagery' function in Google Earth and visit a period before 2007 you'll clearly see the 3 grass/dirt runways, as well as the small hangar that used to be a part of this airfield.
