Worth the trip for the Fish & Chips
Make sure you check their website about fuel availability as it isn't constant.
There is a $5 landing fee, if the attendant is there you pay him, otherwise it's on the honour system. They're trying to raise funds to redo the runway and they are currently at 150K / 990K, so don't be a jerk, and make sure you pay even if there is no one collecting.
Call Herberts and they'll pick you up and drop you off, though the walk isn't too bad ~1.5Km.
It's a very popular fly in spot so you can expect a fair bit of traffic. Communicate on the radio and keep an eye out!
You can also get fuel at Manitoulin East or Parry Sound, which are a bit cheaper.

Nasa Dubai na ako ngayon. Wala akong kamag anak na nag sponsor sa akin pero nakalampas ako ng immigration ng walang hassle nung June 16. Na provide ko lang lahat yung requirements tinulungan ako nung agency. Salamat sa panginoon.

We were at Tunis airport on Thursday, June 16th. We went to use the lounge for Priority Pass members just past duty free for departures. Even after showing my pass and being asked for my boarding cards we were told that this was now business class only. Instead we were to go back to the AVS Lounge. This was about 05.55a.m. and when we got there the doors were locked and no sign of life. Walking back thinking we would have to get some coffee at one of the bars there, luckily we ran across a kindly member of staff who told us that the AVS lounge does not open until 06.00a.m. Sure enough by the time we had returned it was being unlocked. Inside all there was were some food left over from the previous day and some bottles of water. Again luck was with us as two locals who fly to London were talking to the chap who had unlocked. They then told us that they had told him that they were not handing over their cards until they had seen some fresh food and some coffee. About 06.30a.m. some croissants and paninis appeared, followed ten minutes later by some coffee. So much for 24 hour service! When I got back home I sent off an email explaining what our experience had been like. To-day I got a phone call from a lady who said we should have used the other lounge, and that AVS was not a part of their lounges. Strange how people who are not experiencing what you have just gone through seem to know more about what we should be getting. Be warned that when going through security check it is now belt, shoes and jackets off. As you come out the other side look ahead and to your left. There you will see glass doors clearly marked up AVS." To the left of the doors is a stand clearly marked up with who can use that lounge. Don't be surprised when you read "Priority Pass" as one of the groups entitled to make use of it. Due to return in September, will make sure that I have a camera ready so that I can send a jpeg off to Priority Pass. Unless of course some one else does it before me.

Maaring nakalabas ka agad dahil may previous travel ka na. At kapag estudyante ka syempre alam nila wala ka pang work. so pwede ka palabasin depende sa immigration officer. nung nag travel ako bound to Singapore. may dala ako student ID pero hindi lang yun hiningi sakin. pati proof na enrolled ako dun sa school at certificate galing sa school na nagpapatunay na estudyante nila ako. tumatawag pa sila sa admin kung talaga enrolled nga ako doon. so hindi ganun kadali. hindi yan magic na dahil lang sa may ID ka e palalagpasin ka nila.

Baggage collection nightmare
Terminal 1, baggage conveyor stops just after 2 minutes of operations. Information shared is that it will take some time as the maintenance crew is on the other end of the belt.. The ten other belts are not in use currently displaying inelligible information.

It's a typical West African airport. Lots of people trying to sell you stuff when you stwo outside, but no harm there. I was 20 seconds through the main security line (there's also a quick check on entry). There's a snack bar in the departure area, but also a regular frequent-flyer lounge, and a separate one with paid access (β¬8 or CFA 5000). WiFi is in and out, but then, it's free.

Why do i have to comply a Letter of support/guarantee, or sponsorship letter? Wala naman ako kamag anak sa abroad? Yung dating mo immigration na immigration. Nagpapanggap ka pang pasahero. Huli ka hoyyy! First of all, wala naman ako kamag anak sa abroad bakit ko kailangan i-comply yan? Kahit anong paliwanang ko sa immigration officer na nag interview saken na wala ako kamag anak sa abroad pero hindi kayo naniniwala. Ipinipilit nyo ang gusto nyo! Pano kung ang intensyon lang talaga is magbakasyon? May work naman ako dito at kumpleto ako sa documents. Bawal na bang mag bakasyon man lang? Sobrang nakaka disappointment kayo mga immigration officers! Hindi lahat ng Pilipino ay may pang bayad sa inyo. Ang laki laki pa naman ng hinihingi nyo mahina na ang Php75,000. Mga kurap kayo mga hayup kayo!!! Mamatay na sana buong pamilya nyo! Babalik din yan sa inyo!!!

Staff Needs Training
When I went through Immigration, the officer was busy with updating his Facebook Page, a local news paper was also left opened on his desk. The officer did not speak a word, he just used hand gestured (how own sign language) to reache to our passport. He took my wife's passport and head gestured for her. I said "Thank You" when my passport was handed back to us, then the officer looked at me as he has never seen anyone in his life (in oblivion). The immigration officers all wore white, I don't know why they do it. Their shirt collars and arm pits looked so dirty. Locals say the Immigration officers are dirtier than their clothes (Eliciting Bribes). The air-conditioning in the airport does not keep up with passenger load. Seriously this country has to look into work ethic issues and needs that be resolved because they are promoting themselves as the "Heaven on Earth".. There are local porters who swam at you to offer help, then they demanded money in US dollars. There needs to be some serious training for the entire staff at this airport.

Avoid RWY 3/21
RWY 3/21 surface in poor condition. Landed RWY 26 (which is in good condition) and rather than exit on RWY 21 to access the parallel taxiway, we back-taxied on RWY 08 and exited midfield on the taxiway.

Yeah, 14 days tourist visa because I am not planning to stay there. :) I can say my job is stable and the tax I am paying will tell that I will be back in the Philippines. For sure if they see my real intention, I will make it. As for my company, they can attest that I'm working for them, will provide them COE and ID as well. They can call so they will know. :)

Immigration officers are reading your comment right now so andyan naaaaaaaaaa mga buwaya mag aabang na mga yan hahahaha. if you are holding a 30days visa. You have to prove them that youre going on a 5 day vacation talaga. Advice ko 14days ang iapply mo na visa kasi yun ang alam ko na minimum 14days. Then prepare all ur docs that prove that you have a stable income here in the Ph na may babalikan ka talaga dito. Tumatawag din pala sila sa company to verify if connected ka talaga dun. Ganun sila kasigurista.

I will be traveling to Dubai this July 30 directly from the Philippines solely for the purpose of tour for 5 days. I will be in Singapore and Malaysia this coming July 13 and will go back to work after 5 days. Reading all the comments here, I think it is really difficult to pass the immigration. So, I need to prepare all requirements just to make sure they will believe me I am going for tour because I have job here. I will update you on my experience on how I will travel the world. Hoping for the best here!
