Further to the comment placed on these pages on 29.09.2010 that the ex raf airstrip at Wadi Seidna was infact 10nm to the west of the current airbase - has this been confirmed as true ? This is rather confusing - was this airfield moved completely or is this a wrong statement ? barry.

Liard River Air Strip Condition
Last time I landed at the Liard River strip was in May of 1984. Lots of frost heave but quiet. Now I am having a hard time trying to figure out if it still exists. Not interested in big paved places.

Excellent visibility for take off and landing
Easy landing and take off with Aurora airlines from Yuzhno-Salkalinsk, little questioning over my Russian visa I think due to being in disputed territory and close proximity to military installations. Exploring active volcanoes in the area, vegetation and ancient oaks all over Kunashir and Kurilsk is a small but lively town.

Interesting airstrip, I had to go with a guide due to security concerns as it is a disputed territory but quite magnificent with no one around. If the guide wasn't there and the military aircraft weren't buzzing overhead you'd think you were on a deserted island.
re: Shuttle/Taxi/Limo Ground Transportation
We had a great taxi ride experience very late (12:30 AM) on 3/30/16 after arriving Sky Harbor. It was a Checker cab. Can't recall the #.
docoments to prepare
Here are the documents i prepared. Btw, babae po ako at first time magtour palabs ng bansa at magisa lumipad ng thailand:
1. Passport
2. Tickets including return (including receipt); i wasnt asked for my credit card
3. Hotel accomodation confirmation (she just checked this one without asking anything)
4. Leave of absence form ( my boss even wrote a reminder sa leave form ko na kelangan ko bumalik ng april 6 for board meeting). Pls dont forget have it dry sealed.
5. Certificate of employment stating my position, years of experience and salary.

6. Photocopy of my immediate boss who signed my leave form and my certificate of employment and also id of the president of our company
7. Bank statement ( i didnt bring my itr because our system not working)
8. Ticket printout ng friend ko na nauna dito sa thailand showing same date at time pabalik namin ng pinad
9. School id ( studying too) - eto hindi ko na binigay - just another proof na babalik ako kc nagaaral ako if kelangan)
10. School study load (same)

Hi guys, I am planning amy very first trip to Lido airport, just for the weekend and I want to stay for 2 nights? Does anyone have an idea where to stay for that time? I do not want to pay overpriced hotels, IΒ΄m an ordinary aviation enthusiast without a vallet stuffed with hundred euro bills, but I want to visit as many places as possible. Spending money on my timebuilding now and want something affordable. Thanks for every reasonable idea in advance, I am more than sure that I am not the only one who will appreciate any reccomendation.
Great Service
Recently had a flight booked to Edmonton via Kingston, Toronto, Calgary and finally Edmonton. Upon check in, the staff voluntarily did a search for options and were successful in booking us on a more direct flight to Edmonton. As a result we arrived Edmonton 2 hours earlier. The staff at this small airport is friendly and accommodating. You can't beat the service at small airports! Thank you and thanks to Big Al from the flying club!

Excellent breakfast at gas station, walking distance from FBO.
The Worlds Greatest Pilot
Aldinga has the worlds greatest pilot.
Self professed of course.
He was flying his Waco in formation with his Super Cub, which observers believe was carrying too much weight and that the weight and balance would have been way out, when pilot of the Super Cub radioed the worlds greatest pilot and informed him that something was flapping around by the fuel tank.
After some deliberation he informed the Super Cub Pilot that he had left the fuel filler cap off.
It is understood that they were on the way to Kangaroo Island and would have flown over one of the most dangerous stretches of waters in the world .
One trembles when considering what the consequences would have been if the Worlds Greatest Pilot had run out of fuel over those waters.
He hastily returned to Aldinga.
Another chapter in the life of the Worlds Greatest Pilot.

Airport Restaurant
Ocala is a great field to fly into with always friendly service. It has an not-so-busy ILS so instrument ops are great to practice here. The Airport restaurant is great and there is no landing fee. Simply taxi up and get some great food!

The airport restaurant is great at KLAL. The food portions are more than enough for you to eat and have some to stash in the baggage compartment! The service and food is excellent and there are headsets at each table to listen on freq. while over-watching the field. Great option to fly into!
Caution: Restaurant hours are odd so double check before you fly in!
HiJackers!!
HiJackers is my all time favorite place to fly and get food. Its about an hour from anywhere in Central Florida. The shrimp burger and Coconut shrimp are better than 5 star quality and the view of the pattern in addition to great service make this a must go for your flight plan! Also, the tower is a plus at KFIN, controllers are very professional and helpful. Great Destination airport!

Seriously some of the best home cooking, all you can eat food around. Even more so at a nice airport with great service. $8 all you can eat; what could be better! Great GA 100 dollar "hamburger" flight!

We arrived at 6:45 am and the bathrooms were unclean. I was excited to return to the US via Europe from Africa especially for the bathrooms. But your bathrooms were unclean and many were not working! Also, when you remodel you need to make more women's bathrooms -the lines were crazy long. I was just bewildered that your bathrooms were this poor.

Today morning i came with my family to pick up my brother in law he came form dubai at 4.15 a.m in chennai international airport arrival place i entered my car (TN 11 B 1612) Into international airport arrival place (car enter both )and no one response and not giving token (not doing their work properly) and then i picked my brother in law and came out to exit then the exit both person asked token i replied i didn't have token then they asked me to get token from enter both , i asked token form enter both they replied go and tell exit both as they not noticed to enter my car into airport, and pay minimum amount Rs- 150/-, then i went to exit area and replied the same, then they asked to pay Rs. 700/- or Rs- 300/- as parking charge and fine then we argued that we are not doing any mistake then why we want to pay fine. then the exit both persons asked that to go to enter both , like that they through like foot ball here and there, finally they asked to pay Rs. 150/- truly we were inside the parking area is below 10 min, So kindly take necessary action and advice them to do their work properly and avoid this types of robberies.
