hello po. we just go for every declaration made by the passenger. if you declare that you are employed, with your gf, bought the ticket..... then have the necessary docs / supporting papers to prove your claim.

You're right, even the official data from Eurocontrol (who generally only publish data that they get from official agencies) puts it at 4.44 N, 8.25 W which is still out in the ocean.

Where is it?
I find a bit strange that some Internet sites tout this as a major airport in Liberia. It even appears in the CAA list of airport of that State yet no one appears to be able to pin point it on a map. Your own coordinates would (and those of others on the internet) squarely put it in the Ocean!! While often airports are clearly seen in Google Earth, there is no image of this one even when the imagery claims to be from 2013!! (the whole area is very poorly shown in Google Earth).

Photographers who have photo images of Amon Carter Field when it was still in use during the '60's ought to consider placing them (photos) on FLICKR for enjoyment of aviation buffs. I'm sure there are some folks out there who still have pictures of this airport in Ft. Worth in their possession . It would be interesting to see what the airport operations and facilities were like back then. I was personally privileged to tour the terminal plus the concourses as well as the ramp area with a friend of mine back in mid '70's. Unfortunately, I did not have a camera with me to photograph the airfield. We had unlimited access to the concourses and ramp. There were no aircraft operations after DFW opened. I was fortunate to find an original kodachrome slide, on EBAY, taken in 1955 with a Central Airlines DC-3 parked on the south concourse. The image is in excellent condition. I'm lucky to have it in my personal collection. Today, nothing exists on the site of the terminal of historical significance. A small bit of concrete slab, part of the taxiway from the runway is still there and can be seen clearly after take off from DFW. March 27, 2014 Bob V H

Finkenwerder Airport (XFW) is part of Airbus' Hamburg headquarters in Germany and its major commercial aircraft manufacturing plant (the third largest in the world after Seattle/Everett (USA) and Toulouse (France). Here some 15,000 people are employed. Airbus Hamburg plays a decisive role in the development and engineering of all Airbus aircraft. It is responsible for the final assembly of the A318, A319, A320 and A321.
In addition, all A380s are fitted here with their cabin interiors and painted for final delivery. Hamburg Finkenwerder is also home to Airbus’ A380 major component assembly hall, which houses the structural assembly and the fitting-with equipment of the forward and complete rear fuselage sections for this new-generation aircraft. Final acceptance and delivery of all A380s for customers in Europe and the Middle East take place here.
This Airbus facility’s years of manufacturing experience enhance fuselage structural assembly and systems installation. It produces complete fuselage sections for the A380, which are shipped to France on a specially-built roll-on/roll-off ferry.
Hamburg also plays a key role in the A330 and A350 XWB programmes, for which it manufactures and equips the forward and rear fuselage sections.
