My understanding is that Immigration Officers are trained to make sure that Filipinos do not leave the country to become TNT's in other countries. Unfortunately this practice makes every Filipino suspect. We flew from Clark to Singapore last March and they questioned my boyfriend for a long time. I hold a US passport so they had no question for me. I made sure he was dressed up--not with just jeans and tshirt but with dress slacks and dress shirt like a business man he looked like he could more than afford the vacation we going to have. We also practiced the interview so he was versed in the country we were going, where we were staying, how long and when we were coming back.

Pinay Leaving Clark with Foreigner
So what's the latest on the Immigration officer issues at Clark? My gf and I are leaving there on 3 Sept and we have 4 other flights throughout asia so it's important we get this first flight. I am even contemplating buying a back up ticket out of Manila just in case. We have all our hotel and plane ticket reservations, I will give her a lot of cash to hold in her pocket and we have proof of money sent to support her as well as she has traveled out of country twice before. I have a letter of support as well, what else could they need, any advice would be appreciated.

I feel so bad after reading those comments against the Immigration Officer at Clark Airport. I have a scheduled flight this 18th of August to meet my fiance in Bkk. This is my first time to use the Clark Airport since Tiger Airways offered a real affordable airfare. I had no problem in NAIA before even if it's my first time to travel outside the country last year. I been in Malaysia twice last year, so far everything was going well. I'm a bit worried using the Clark Airport now because of those negative comments I heard and read here. Can you please give me more advise to avoid problems with the Immigration Officers?

Corruption
IF your in the departure hall at Clark, watch the immigration officier who is walking around near the toilets.. They wont accept money at the immigration counter as a bribe, as its under two camera's in the roof, however they will tell you to go meet in the toilet if they stamp your clearance.
Word of advise, try to get the video camera on your cell phone running when you approach the counter, but be discrete. even you dont capture the picture, the sound will capture there voice, you will also notice they have new glass screens in place at the immigration counters on departures only.

Christopher of DMIA Immigration Officer. Ganyan din ginawa sa 2 guest ko. Hinahanapan ng OR, proof of income ang 2 guest ehh kumpleto naman yung Travel requirements nila. Passport, Hotel Accommodation, Roundtrip Airline Ticket (Air Asia). Nakapromo lahat. Paano na yung mga nagastos doon? Non Refundable and non rebookable pa naman, so forfeited lang. Hindi ganun kadali magwaldas ng pera.

They didn't let me in to HK, i was with my boyfriend. i showed them my ticket , hotel booking , and i filled out the form for them. but their still holding me and they asked my boyfriend to checked in while their talking to me. keep asking me for pocket money! One girl said, if you have money then you can be a tourist, but if you dont have then your not allowed to be on the plane! All B.I is just grumpy old human. I feel sad for those people who is just corrupt, even in the airport their doing the same things. They look professional but sorry to say they just want money. try to hand them some money and their not going to ask you more and just let you in without any questions. Manila airport is the best! I am loving it there, and for sure everybody does. Terminal one , and Terminal two is amazing airport for those who wants to travel abroad. Unlike Clark shit airport and shit stuffs working there! i feel sorry for you guys.

sa NAIA ka na lang..kailangan mo ng Booking ng hotel,credit card at pocket money na enough sa vacation mo if ilang days ka dun,kailangan marami ka talaga pera maniwala sila na you can handle yourself to go on for a tour abroad especially when you are alone..mag inquire ka na lang sa travel agency,makakatulong din yun.

Hello mga IO ano problema nyo tour lang sa HK ang dami nyo hinahanap. bakit kayo ganyan may round trip ticket naman automatic naman balik nya bakit kayo ganyan. Sana maawa kayo sa mga gastos pinagbayad nyo travel tax at terminal fee tapos di nyo papaalisin grabe kayo. dapat sinabihan nyo na sya na di cya pwede alis para di na sya magbayad ipinapakita nyo lang na mukhang pera kayo.

I experienced the same just this morning. I felt like they delayed us intentionally because they even lost my boarding pass while waiting to be interviewed for which we do not know why, hence, the delay. Finally he came back to give me the form to be filled up and he said he got a new boarding pass for me ( like I have to thank him for that, duh..! ) . I told that same officer twice that we are going to be late on our flight but he just said wait for your turn " pakihintay lang po,kayo na ang susunod ". They didn't care at all. We patiently waited for our turn. E nauna pa kame s ibang na-intrvw na. They don't have a system. They only have one interviewer, who asks the same question over and over. And nung malaman nila na naiwan kame, wala silang pakialam.
And also be careful when paying Travel Tax, there was one personnel who came up to us and assisted us in paying our travel tax. He asked us to pay exact amount. I did not suspect anything, even if he told me that while waiting, one of us can go and pay the terminal fee already, and so I went and left my sis and my friend. After which, I asked my sis and my friend for the receipt, but they said he didn't issue a receipt. I got suspicious when they asked us to refund the fees as a result of not boarding the plane. The man who took our travel tax fee gave us the refund without going back to the queu or filling up a form. He just handed over the money and said " oh eto na ung pera , para di na kyo pumila ". That is why he didn't issue a receipt coz he planned on keeping the money to himself. Obviously, a corrupt employee.. tsk.tsk.tsk.

Just wondering what happened to this case. Please make an update so we, frequent travelers will be wary of what to expect and what to do when we encounter things like this. The BI's are not the DFA's and I suppose they do not have the authority to confiscate the passport, more so to tear the passport.

Can somebody tell me how to get a passport confiscated by BI?? And is it really normal that they give temporary receipt without the passenger's name and his passport number at least??..parang hukos pukos kasi...padulas ba hinihingi nila??...
