airport survey...
people i heard that there was a survey made for starting Gaya-Delhi flight, but survey team sitting at patna only cancelled the idea, giving the reason of less revenue from the airport ..isn't it kiddish ..first let the things be known to people. automatically they will start using those services ....most of the time they cancel the flight without any reasons and also no information is given to fliers and they suffer a lot. already i have sufferred this twice..also there is no availablity of snacks or coffee/tea shops at the airport.so first improve the service and then revenue can be build easily...

PLEASE DO NOT FALL FOR ANYONE ASKING YOU TO ADOPT A PUPPY FROM AFRICA. I FOUND AN AD TO ADOPT A PUPPY AND STARTING EMAILING THIS LADY. SHE WANTED $200 FOR AN ENGLISH BULLDOG. I SAID I WOULD NOT SEND ANY MONEY UNTIL THE DOG WAS SHIPPED. WE AGREED ON $50. SO I SENT HER $50 AND SHE SAID SHE WOULD SHIP THE DOG AND WHEN IT GOT HERE I COULD SEND THE REST OF THE MONEY. THEN I GOT A CONFIRMATION EMAIL FROM THE AIRPORT ASKING THAT ALL THE INFORMATION WAS CORRECT. AFTER I REPLIED TO THE CONFIRMING ALL THE INFO WAS CORRECT THEY SEND ME ANOTHER EMAIL SAYING I NEEDED TO SEND THEM ANOTHER $475 THROUGH WESTERN UNION FOR INSURANCE PAPERS ON THE DOG. THEY EVEN SENT ME AN PICTURE OF THE DOG BEING BORDERED ON THE AIRPLANE. i SENT THE LADY AN EMAIL SAYING I WAS NOT GOING TO PAY ANOTHER $475 AND THEY OFFERED TO COVER HALF THE COSTS. SHE KEPT TELLING ME SHE JUST WANTED A GOOD HOME FOR HER BABY AND GOD BLESS ME AND THAT SHE WOULD NOT SCAM ME AS SHE WAS A GOOD CHRISTIAN WOMEN. ALL SHE WANTED WAS TO TRY AND GET AS MUCH MONEY AS POSSIBLE OUT OF ME AND IT SEEMS LIKE THE AIRPORT IS IN ON THE SCAM ALSO. THIS LADY IS SCUM. I AM LUCKY AS I AM ONLY OUT $50. Strange yellow "x" markers at each end of well maintained runway. Accident w/172 four passengers, hot day, therefore airport determined to be "undafe". Short walk to town - the "x"s have more to due with liability then actual closure. Interesting town, be sure to visit the Court House / Jail !
Dyer
Excellent mechanic - Dick Tremaine at SE end of field. Dick is famous for flying to where you were forced to land and then getting you to fly again. A good man to know in time of need. 775-572-3059

Reply to @david: The original tower as well as 2 of the hangers remain on the east side of the field. One of which houses the American Airpower Muesum. They have a nice collection of war birds. Memorial day, and Labor day, they usually have airshows, with a few nice fly-ins.

How sure are we about the IATA code here? Most sources seem to give MCV as being McArthur River Mine Airport, Australia.

Murphy Hot Springs
Wonderful camp site - fine views - silent. Long walk into Hot Springs - all services there closed, but somewhat interesting no the less. Wonderful country to SW & SE - very much worth the ride.
Chicken Strip
1300 ft usable, el = 1300 land to north, uphill. Landing & departing is at right angles to military buzz path to hot springs - caution advised - no radar advisory below about 9000. monitor 126.55 - may learn of low level activity in Saline MOA. Runway maintained by users.
Fuel
So far the mogas there has been found to be alcohol free. The store and cafe are fun, hot springs to the north.
They don not seem concerned with a taxi to the pumps - landing or departing via highway.

Shipping of the wrong puppy
We paid an individual in london for a puppy to be shipped to house. we received notification that the puppy had been shipped. We later received a message that the puppy had been shipped to false location. We received a message that the puppy had been sent to cameroon. We then receive another message that we need to pay almost 400,00 Euro for a certain type of transport case and a stress shot. We wrote to the e-mail address and informed that the shipping agency was to pay for the false shipping and we would not pay anything. A e-mail form the Douala International Airport said the the pet agency had paid 800,00 euro and we still owe them 300,00 euro.

I had visited this airport on foot back in 2007. It says on the map that it's closed, but it's really a private grass/dirt airstrip. I wasn't able to get in touch with the owner at the time.

it was told that we have pupies that suppose to come to the usa, and that we had to wait for a ticket number,however she said that the money was alreay given to the shippers , how long could pups be kept at the airport.
