Misplaced all along.

The FAA had this misplaced the whole time.

It was a nice surprise to arrive at this airport and to see it has lights for night flights.

Runway use

The runway is no longer in use since the arrival of road connections to the main city.

Came by Boat, got lifted up by a winch, but spent a sunny afternoon sitting on the Helipad exchanging travel stories to the more unsual spots. Really enjoyed 'Room Tour'.

Trip to Neft Daslari

Start for the helicopter to Neft Daslari.

Landed here due to very bad weather condition on our flight back from Neft Daslari (unfortunately missing in this data base).

Originally planned touch down was Zabrat (ZXT).

This Airport no longer exists

The Motel and airport was sold a year or two ago and has been removed and replaced with a Travel Trailer sales display space. So Airport no longer exists.

Reply to @adidas Thank-you for adding this airstrip. Do you know if it's currently active?

Reply to @adidas: The only Wallaroo listed in the AIP is a helipad in South Australia. https://ourairports.com/airports/YWRO/

Do you have any more info about this airstrip? Is it still operational? It looks like it's actually in NSW, too.

Not to be confused with YBCH

There is also a Beechworth Airstrip (YBCH) in Victoria. Both are still listed in the Dec 2021 AIP.

"Dangerous" airport

This airport, with its 2,119 ft runway, gets attention as one of the world's (so-called) most dangerous airports, but that's a bit nonsensical. It's more a matter of what plane you're choosing to land there.

A Twin Otter or even DC-3 could handle it without breaking a sweat, and probably leave a lot of the runway unused; a 747 would shoot off the end at full speed and end up as a smoking wreck.

In between those extremes, it's a matter of how close you want to cut it to your plane's maximum performance, as with any airplane and runway.
