Love it
Pune airport is small and nice.
handling few international flights only, but it is connection Abu Dhabi through jet airways, Dubai through spicejet and Frankfurt through Lufthansa, maybe even more.
Airport staff, security and immigration officers are always very friendly and helpful and more relaxed than bigger airports like Delhi or Mumbai.
Whenever I can I travel through Pune Airport only. Very convenient. For Mumbai airport flights I need to leave home 8 hours before flight. For pune max to max 2,5 hours.
Lot of construction is going on, waiting area is getting improved a lot currently and new gangways are being built.

Amazing
Took the family to visit Upper Canada village . We landed in Morrisburg . Very nice airport , excellent paved runway . The grass to the sides was kept very trim and neat and a cable was conveniently laid across the parking area making tie down very easy . A short walk ,even with a 3 year old and 6 year old brought us to the Upper Canada Village site .Picnic areas , beach , as well as a golf course are all within a very short walk as well. A shame more pilots don't know about this wonderful airport .

It's called West Wales Airport these days. And it's not in Aberporth, it's in Blaenannerch. It was called Aberporth Aerodrome back in the days when it was purely for use by MoD Aberporth (which was never in Aberporth but in nearby Parcllyn). Then again, "Aberporth" is a lot easier to spell.than "Blaenannerch." And a lot easier to say than "Parcllyn" (the Welsh double-ell isn't what a non-Welsh person thinks it is). But "West Wales Airport" is even easier.
It's never been the same since they extended the runway and re-routed the B4333 so it wasn't close to the end of the runway. There used to be traffic lights on that road for when a plane was taking off or landing, and a sign that meant "give way to low-flying aircraft."

As a newish pilot, I always appreciate a non-class B personality in the controllers.
Be on your game
This place is short and skinny. On top of that, it sits in a valley. It's a neat place but you better know your plane. I actually landed here in bad weather and I had no problem, but I can imagine pilots running long and ending up on the golf course.
Following your successful landing, go around the creek and get a meal at the Copper Kettle.

Flow into there in a Bonanza, parked for four days to do the Virginia Beach thing, Signature was a great FBO. Tower folks good too.

I would lime to visit Cazaux, but understand public visits were not allowed. Is that still the case? If so, is there somewhere outside the base where the aircraft can be viewed?
