Great Airport - Very active
Visited twice and saw lots of activity happening. Airport manager is very friendly and helpful. Its very scenic to go over the big river just to the west of the airport on climb out or on approach.
Very Nice fascility
Great airport to have a stop over or a fuel stop. Nice retaurant on site and gas stations are just a walking distance. Local community uses French only on radio....Be prepared or be motivated to go nordo. :)
Nice fascility - Unfriendly community
I did a fuel stop over from my flight to Baldwin from Qubec city here in summer 2013. Found the guy on unicom and in terminal very friendly but the pilot there renting a 172 there with his family was very dry and didnt even bother providing me any information when I requested. 'This is a club building' and I was not allwed to relax there for a bit. Ended up relaxing on grass outside the terminal listening to the radio inside.
In short, a great airport for stop over but be prepared to ignore some of the roughest or dry aviation people in the club side of the airport that I have ever come accross.
Ultralighter's Heaven
This is a small airport with lots of lively aviation spirit in it. Lots of challengers becuse of a challenger builder, inspector and a instructor on site. Also a home base for the Advanced ultralight SONEX aircraft. This is one airport where you will find minimum 'dead' aircrafts sitting collecting sun or dust. Very helpful community and the parachute school loves pilots who talk to them on radio. A easy airport to fly in, provided you talk to unicom and clear your intentions.
Rough Surface - Nice Airport
To make the matters worse, there is a drain hole in the middle of the runway about 1/3 from the east. Its marked by a flag on the north side edge of the runway. So, If you are landing with a taildragger, try to stick close to the southern edge. Used to be a very nice flying community there but things are looking to go downside. I hope that it will re-emerge into life.
Must visit ariport
Great fascilities, very friendly staff, active unicom and resonable priced restaurant for awesome breakfast. i am frequent visitor there and many times with ultralights. Makes for a great fuel stop over for longer cross countires. If the winds are more from south, expect some weird turbulence on short final for 13 due to brush line or trees. I prefer landing long in that situation. HAPPY FLYING!
Great Airport - A good alternate if the winds are high.
This is a great airoport to visit and fuel prices are resonable for a fuel stop. In line with others, the restaurant is more of a fancy restaurant user primarily by road traffic rather then pilots ...specially the economical ones like me. A fish n; chips or bugers to menu would make a good addition for having fliers drop in.

Keshod Airport
Keshod airport is very old and it is closest only one airport nearer to Somnath. For domestication of flight Keshod airport is helpful to travelling for people.

I love this airport whenever my father arrive here i defiantly come airport to pick him up. And i would suggest you to request indian aviation minister to make a international and big airport so we need not travel to ahemadabad.

nice airport
I think this is one of the nicer airports I have been to in the U.S. Lots of shops, restaurants. They have these cafes where you can order using ipads at the table. So everyone is sitting there with their phones out and also a huge ipad in front of them.
Te Anau airport closed permanently
The Te Anau airport was closed permanently about 2009.
The runway had white crosses marked on it (see Google Earth image) to indicate its permanent closure and the land has been sold.
All the services and flying activity has been transferred to the upgraded Manapouri Airport (5km north of Manapouri township).

Thanks for the comment, I'll be just staying there for only 4 days, - im still looking for an alternative visa that could fit my intention, a visa that non-extendable for more than 4days.. I'm really serious for my holiday. I just hope that i can get a right information soon. :)

Short Sighted Municipality - Closing this airport in 2015
The excellent airport is slated for closure 30 September 2015. The municipal council has decided without consultation with the public to close the airport under pressure of the Provincial Government to sell the land to a nearby industry for 'possible' expansion. The province would not provide any money for the move and the local municipal council forced the facilities to consider consolidation at the nearby Greenwood Airforce Base. During the long draw-out process of deciding to close the airport, the uncertainty of the future, closed the flight training school and one repair facility. The future of aviation in the Annapolis Valley is in doubt and an excellent airport will have been destroyed

Why is there no public transport to/from the airport ? Surely one bus service per day would be possible ? Taxis are very expensive.

People behavior towards airport peronal
Who it may concern
I was at OR Tambo airport for a flight to Maputo and what catching my eye is how the airport personal has to deal with everyday nonsense of passengers, passengers get angry with airport personal because the idiots don’t lessen when their names are called because they delaying the aircraft or they don’t read there information on their boarding pass nor there tickets.
From that I board my ticket all the necessary information is on there were to go, how mush bags are allowed and even their weight is specified.
We was in line for a flight to Maputo the other day and as usual the airport was very busy, I’ve standing there and watch people’s behavior and lessening to remarks what people have to say towards airport personal is hard to believe. Just before our boarding time our company called and inform us not to board because of something out of there control.
Our luggage was already checked in and now to get it back was what’s amassing me how well the airport personal behaved and responded when inform them that we are not boarding were to go and claim our luggage back… very quick and friendly. While collecting our luggage a very angry passenger also comes to collect her bags and stated that she were treated unfair… this is totally nonsense. I was there and hear the airport personal calling her numerous times because she was delaying the flight… good luck to you women and with some wake up pills you probably catch your flight next time. My feel really goes out to the airport personal for what they have to deal with every day.

Atlantic FBO in Manhattan
I jogged by here yesterday morning on my way down the East River Greenway (with "green" in sarcastic quotation marks). It was a surprise to see the familiar Atlantic Aviation logo on a sign right beside the path, even though I knew there was a heliport around here. It looks like a nasty landing spot -- the elevated FDR drive is right on the edge of the heliport (Atlantic is tucked underneath it), so if there were an east wind, you'd have to be very careful about your landing.
