Discrimination
I was flying from kigali on the 23rd of july and unfortunately it ruined my holiday because of the discrimination against muslim women at the airport. There were 3 of us and we were all wearing the islamic black gown. When we passed the security check for hand-luggage we all passed through the machine without it beeping and yet we were all checked physically by the female officer there. I do not understand why we were physically checked and yet the machine did not beep. Other women were not physically checked if the machine did not beep. This is discrimination against muslim women. Rwanda is an amazing place for a holiday but because of this humiliation I would not recommend anyone visiting Rwanda because of their insulting behaviour at Kigali Airport. I have travelled a lot and I have never come across such rude behaviour. If Rwanda doesn't want muslim women to visit them, they should just say so rather than making us go through this humiliation.

We wanted to land here but apparently the airfield is controlled by the Ambatovy Mine and the President of the mine, Tim Dobson Tim.Dobson@ambatovy.mg is reluctant to allow visitors to land there. A pity.. we were hoping for better Madagascar hospitality.

Lost laptop at airport in Kigali

I am looking for the contact information of the airport in Kigali. I found old numbers that do not work. I mysteriously lost my laptop during second check in point yesterday June 20 around 8:25 or 8:30 am. I flew on Kenya airways flight 448 to Bujumbura and last saw my laptop during security checking. What is the point of simply listing all the flights coming in without providing any search facilities. I am trying to find out if there is a flight coming in from the DRC today and I have to scroll through endless lists. Surely it would be very simple to add a few search criteria such as departure airport, local or international, airline etc.
Where does the information/research come from?
This site is community maintained and updated. There is nobody associated with OurAirports that does any research or verification that I'm aware of. The concept is that pilots around the world will update the information that is relevant to them and thus create a database of world wide airport information. So, become a member and update the information yourself.

Limited food options
There are limited food options inside airport security. There's a small snack bar with pastries (Danish, croissant, etc.) and meat pies (that will be microwaved), but not a lot else.
Accra Mall
The Accra Mall (the biggest mall in West Africa, though small by North American/European standards) is only 2 km away, and getting there should cost about 10 cedi (~USD 3.00) in taxi fare. As always in Accra, negotiate the fare *before* you get in the cab — there are no metres — and don't feel bad if you end up paying a bit extra because you're obviously not local.
