Very good general aviation airport close to Helsinki. There is even a bus going to center of Helsinki from right next to airport reittiopas.fi/en/?from_in=malmin+lentokentt%C3%A4&to_in=Centrum%2C+Helsinki
LFLP Briefing
Airport is surrounded of mountainous terrain. Missed approach from rwy 04 requires strict inherence to speed limitations ( max 160kt) during climb and turns. Check your applicable minima when you have only received verbal/ theoratical briefing/training. In such case be aware that you are limited to daylight operation min VIS 5000m and CEIL 3000ft only.
Consider required performance for Landing due to displayed thresholds on both rwy ends. (lowest LDA 3,5°GS 3694ft or Visual 4423ft only!!)

Nice glider airfield
Very nice glider airfield with ample of space, (gas) runway in four directions and a historic water fortress with a prison in it. Althogh quite fa distance from Frankfurt, the academical gliding club of Goethe University (Akaflieg Frankfurt) has its homebase there as well as the local gliding club FSV Schwalm.
What a beautiful place!
I really enjoyed visiting this wonderful airport!

According to Wikipedia, it's still used by the Romanian Aeroclub. However it's not in the latest Eurocontrol data dump (although it was in the previous one), so maybe it is closed now?

Dragi Toni! U petak, 10.7. posjetio sam vaš aerodrom. Ti si radio nešto oko vaše Dakote, pa sam verovatno smetao i za to se izvinjavam. Predstavio sam se i napomenuo, da želimo doletet do vas sa nekoliko avijona i tom prilikom zamolio, da mi kažeš nekoliko riječi o aerodromu i da vidim stazu. Ali, dragi moj Toni, baš si bio škrt na riječima i samo si me zaputio na internetsku stranicu. Najmanje što si mi mogao dati bilo je bar malo ljubaznosti. Bilo gde u ostaloj Europi, mi koji letimo, dobro se razumemo među sobom i pomažemo. A ti letiš vrlo visoko i ljubaznost ti nije baš jaka strana. Žao mi je što nečemo posjetiti tvoje krajeve i tvoj aerodrom pošto mi je jasno, kako nismo dobrodošli.
Ali svejedno, Ĺľelim vam puno varnih letova i svega dobroga.

Domme airstrip
A little gem of an airstrip we 'discovered' by flying down the Dordogne from Bergerac. Suddenly this pretty airstrip set about 1000' above the Dordogne rivet on top of an escarpment came into view and we just had to land there. Local frequency air to air calls in French, but it's very quiet and easy to see if anything is going on. A short walk into Domme and the most perfect omelette at the Hotel Esplenade comes highly recommended too!

Hello, I will be travelling from India to Bogota. I have a layover of 4 hours at MUC Franz Josef Strauss Airport and 5 hours halt at FRA Frankfurt Intl Airport. Do i need a transit VISA for either?

UK Rally Visit 6th to 11th June
Now this is one superb airfield with hospitality second to none. We as rally members recommend this as a must to visit. The staff could not have been more helpful and the beer was cold. We used it as a hub to visit airfields within Croatia and Italy. The scenery is stunning. Thanks to all the folk who run the airfield. Approach into 36 downwind over the town again stunning.
F Gates
Earlier this month we flew to and from Copenhagen from Edinburgh with Easyjet. Having flown with Easyjet previously we were not surprised by the flight. However what did surprise us was the F gates at Copenhagen Airport. Firstly they are about 20 minutes walk with only assistance for part of the way and secondly the F satellite is about as basic as it could have been made. This is after all a permanent installation and to have insufficient seats and toilets is totally unacceptable. I would suggest that if you are flying to Copenhagen do not go with Easyjet or Ryanair.

The restaurant on the airfield is excellent
I was there with some friends yesterday Thursday 21 May, 2015. Flying in from Luxembourg (ELLX)
We had lunch at the restaurant on the airfield.
The "entrecĂ´te" (steak) I had was the best I ever ate during my past (65) years: tender, no fat, tasty.
BTW, the landing tax was 8.5 €, quite reasonable.

RAF Bisterne
Now long disused, this airfield formed part of the Airfields of the New Forest during WW2. It was a temporary airfield mainly for the protection of the ports along the South Coast and for interdiction strikes into German held Europe prior to the Nomandy Landings. Very little remains today

History
Cricklewood Aerodrome was built in 1912 to support the Handley Page factory in Cricklewood, London, England. Handley Page Transport operated service to Paris from here until merging into Imperial Airways in 1924. The airfield was closed in 1929. Currently the area is built up almost completely with residential homes. The original reception hall and some of the Handley Page aircraft factory still remain as commercial real estate.

Taken aback.
One of the most congested airports I have ever been in. Good exercise though, as walking is the only way to really navigate through the maze of people, carts and refuse. Surprised that it was so dirty as the French are usually meticulous regarding their public areas.

Brand new 1950's airport
This airport was only recently completed, and yet it is already ancient. A Canadian company did the design and engineering. The airport would be modern in 1950, but it sure as heck misses the mark today.

Borsk is operational airstrip
Borsk Airstrip EPBO is operational. Most of the time used by paragliders due to perfect conditions so caution is required on arrival.
Contact B4 arrival is appreciated. Very nice hosts and beatuiful area.
