hi after reading all the posts on this site i am pretty sure me and my husband have been scammed. We were told our breeder is in a comma from a car wreck and the cargo person that was to bring the bulldog puppy to our house was hit by a passing car and killed. We have sent over a thousand dollars. The breeders email was bihmelvis@ymail.com and we sent the first five or six hundred to this info

Stupid bastards! I paid in the Czech Republic nejΕΓv 3500 CZK 3000 CZK and then, from the original 8300 CZK, which I had allegedly paid as a refundable deposit for the pug, then that would help me at the airport and pay the remaining 5300 and I 3000th They accused me today that I sent the wrong MTCN code, and have remained silent! What do I do now?

So.. I've been chatting with Julia who is located on Victoria Island in Cameroon @ St Francis Monk House. We've been going back and forth about the possibility of adopting a 7 month old Pygmy Marmoset.... It really does sound legit and so far all she has is my name address and telephone number which she needed to be on the 'papers' for a safe transfer. I must be falling into this category somehow huh ? Bummer... I was actually pretty excited !

This little airport on the very northwest tip of the big island is probably one of the most challenging landings in Hawaii. Expect a lot of turbulence on approach. A wind farm is adjacent to the airport -- go figure why they built an airport here... No based aircraft or fuel. Enjoy!

Hard to believe, even local pilots are not allowed to take pictures around the airport. They say you have to get legal permission from the Airports office which is quite complicated. Near the south of Bali's VOR-DME should've been a great spotting area. Good Luck !

No airport in dhanbad. Shame on Jharkhand government.
Once I was coming from Bangalore to Dhanbad via flight to Kolkata. In Kolkata, I took train for Dhanbad. To my sweet surprise, I saw, nearly all people in that bogie were the same people who were with me in the plane. I realized that number of flyers in Dhanbad is so huge and we all have to suffer, since we dont even have rail connectivity to bangalore. Shame on Jharkhand government.
Dhanbad (with Bokaro and Giridih) deserves a good airport
Till around 1995, Dhanbad Urban population was largest in Bihar, around 16 lacs. Now, Bokaro is made separate district. Still, Dhanbad is big, as urban population is around 11 lacs and still Bokaro can be included considering its proximity, making this region a really very big urban centre. Dhanbad deserves a quality airport considering this and vast future opportunities in both cities.
Hyderabad is twin cities along with secunderabad. Now Hyderabad has included vast outskirt areas and nearby towns and villages and has become even bigger. It is going to be triple cities with Shamshabad. But they count all population and area in one to show its bigness and develop facilities like internatinal airport. Dhanbad and Bokaro is also very close and together has big population. So, my request to Jharkhand government to do the same.

Our experience was very good at this newish airport... People were helpful to point us to the right direction to T1 via the sky train. Free wifi as well as nice duty free & food outlets. Truevtestbis the clean & well maintained toilets!

i think i just got scammed by people from cameroon. they said if i dont pay the insurance fee and the permit fee then they will see me in court. they wanted me to pay 250 for shipping it but the guy that i was getting the puppy said all i have to do is pay 75 and he pay the rest then the puppy will be delivered to me. then the petcargo lux services emailed me and told me that i need to pay 550 for insurance fee and a 350 permit fee.

Leavesden Aerodrome
I grew up yards from the end of the runway! Fabulous place to grow up. We spent hours as kids with our noses pressed against the fence, watching the comings and goings of the learner pilots, executive jets, helicopters and airships!! Barry Bowles once used it to test his fast car - and we were there watching! We lived a few doors away from Rolls Royce's Press Officer and he let us in. I still remember everything shaking as Concorde did a flypast at an airshow in 1986 - simply amazing and still one of my favourite planes.
From memory - a potted history. It used to be the King George V playing fields, gifted to the people of Watford by the Crown. The land was requisitioned during the First World War and turned into an airfield. The land was then 'given' to Rolls Royce who sold it off in 1994 for profit when they closed down their Small Engine Division and moved production elswhere. The local folk fought the two Councils involved (Three Rivers and Watford Borough) to stop the land sale from going through but were unsuccessful. The deed from the original gifting from the Crown had mysteriously disappeared from County Hall and so ownership of the land couldn't be proved. Very sad.
I no longer live in Leavesden but I still expect to see aircraft landing when I come up Courtlands Drive to get to my parents' house.
Poor runway condition (rwy 16) in 2010
I landed in ODS in May 2010 on board a LOT E75 coming in from Warsaw. We used runway 16 which was in relatively poor condition, with lots of summarily repaired cracks.
I saw a few parked (for maintenance ?) aircraft including Yak-42 UR-CER in Fars Air Qeshm (Iran) color scheme.
The terminal building was outdated and not sized to handle significant traffic.

I too managed to land here from Gatwick, with hours of delay in the middle of the night on an old AirBus 319 shaking rattling quivering scarry but alive

First time to visit here.
I had no trouble landing and departing Sovde. The grass strip was in good condition and plenty of room for my Cessna 310. Man named Jan came to see what was my trouble, and he was very nice. We enjoyed the 45 minutes we spent talking to him. I will visit there again on my next vacation to Europe.

This airport looks like it was closed but the crosses were not painted on the runway ends. Asphalt is all cracked with grass growing through, there are pits and humps all around, and only central part of the airport maneuvering surfaces is more or less usable.
Funny approach to 25 - on short final you almost clip the houses, overflying their backyards quite tightly. There is a pronounced upslope on the first quarter of 25, and overall 07 looks like a safer choice, wind permitting.
There is a bunch of little airstrips and a decent corporate airport close to Barrie, so unless you wish to seriously punish your landing gear - no need to go Springwater.
