PPR and stay in the middle
as prev post states, there can be some low & soggy spots so stick to to the exact middle of the strip. Also keep in mind the high tower (flashing) SW of field. Don't extend your downwind too far for 35 :-)
Weird wind
Been here a few times (always in the spring/summer months) and have found the wind to be odd. There's a some trees and a few bumps in the North ground that may contribute to this. A couple times wind has been dead on one side and 10-15 kts on the other (measured via dual windsocks installed at aerodrome). But don't let that discourage you.... great airport!
No french? no UNICOM
Been here a couple times and could never get the UNICOM to respond to my english... Other pilots in the circuit speaking french do receive a response. What can you do :-)
Visual games on 28
Great airport, watch for visual tricks when you come in on 28. The water is low and so is the grass before the strip starts....but the threshold is higher. Keep an eye out for skydiving traffic. The buildings you see on former 04/22 comprise a skydiving school.
Perfect place to stop, stay and refuel
Ibiza is great to fly to. Perfect prices for staying landing and refuelling. All of spain, but Allicante Vallencia and worse of them all LEAB, is very decent with landing fees. around 10 euro's
perfect in the middle
perfect in the middle, stop for helicopters or plains, of France. Great people friendly and you can eat at the Mc Donalds 10 minutes walk.
Good landingfee 14 i'll guess and normal fuel prices.
refuelling and staying over
Campanile hotel 10 minutes away for sleeping and very nice food. The airport is not always open so call first. Nice people good prices like 14 for landing and normal fuelprices. Custom is kind of keen on N tailnumbers.
Perfect place to stop, stay and refuel
A skydiving attitude, great and helpful people, relax refuel stay what ever you want. Landing fee like around 10 euro's and a perfect place.
great service, great people
So going on a helicopter through spain you need to stop there. Valencia and Alicante you would want to pass because you need an handeling-agent which normally cost like 250 - 360 euro's extra.
Nearby barcelona so perfect to stop refuel and take a coffee.

i really was chocked about the communication. Although English is THE required languages for everything to do with flying.
I have phoned twice, about the time to come for refueling, twice they said to be there from 1500 to 1700 lcl time. In the NOTAM there is a VFR window of 0800 to 14.00 the guys on the phone both said "NO between 1500 and 1700".
now i did send a mail 12hrs upfront, but the reply came 2 hours before i left at 1200lcl which i didn't check because i already checked out of the hotel and i did phone twice. Nobody told me this on the phone.!!
Then if got confronted, after refueling with scandalous prices of 4.16 a liter. like 2.16 per liter plus outside hours refueling 'bonus' of 326 euro's

Large aircraft
I was driving by Muskoka airport one day last week when I observed an aircraft , a variant of a Boeing 757, with the colours and loggo of the United States Government, Air Force 2 I beleive. Very impressive. Probably something to do with the upcoming G8 summit.

Kindly convert Adampur Aerodrome for Public Transportation, as this Area is giving 75 % of NRI ...
Adampur, Tanda, Mayani, Hoshiarpur, Jalandhar, Mahilpur, only 30 km from Himachal Pradesh and is need of the Local's and NRI, there should be an airport in Adampur which is a need of Doaba Area.

Boston Brook airstrip
Nice private strip built in 1952 for aerial spray against spruce budworm. In the 1970's, the place was home for over 200 people from May to July and aircrafts ranging from Gruman TBM avengers to Ayres Turbo Thrushes. Great to fly in and out off!

almost got me too! told me they needed to get ride of the dogs bc her son was the one who did most of the work and now hes sick w cancer- how low!! and i saw the same ad with the dogs pictures on it which made me look up her IP address! 1 in washington new jersey california and texas then i typed in the name and it brought me to this site! im so glad i saw this ive been telling my 2 and half year old we are getting a puppy this weekend!! Thank god i had a back-up plan! Shouldve known better! i just sent that btch a nasty email too! (Sigh) Needed to get all that out sorry!

Shut down on weekends
This is a great little airport!
Unfortunately, the City of Elliot Lake has decided to close the FBO on the weekends, with a $75 callout charge if you need fuel, and no airside access for transients. I doubt they understand how this will drive away the tourism the city so desperately needs (with its uranium mines closed for almost 20 years), especially during the busy summer season from Victoria Day to Thanksgiving -- I imagine the Stone Ridge Golf Club, which picks up patrons at the airport when they fly in to play, will be especially unimpressed.
The decision also means no METAR from Elliot Lake on the weekends (a problem for people flying along the north shore of Lake Huron), and no local civil weather (Weather Channel, etc.) for the people of Elliot Lake on the weekends.

Make sure you dont send money to a Christy Merlin (christy_puppy@live.com) or MBAFOR FABRICE in Cameroon, state of Littoral and city of Douala for 2 13 week old schnauzer puppies named terry and annabella. These people make you think they are good christian people. The so called airport will contact you and say you owe 825.00 for pet insurance to fly them to your home. After you finally figure out it is a scam they start telling you if you dont pay the money the airport will send them to the zoo ( which is the stupidest thing I have ever heard!) If this is the only way these people can make money the government needs to get involved in this operation and shut them down.......it gives your country and your airport a very bad name......

It's true, though, that staff at FBOs for many smaller Quebec airports often don't speak English, or speak very little.
