hello everyone i been scam by a lady go by the name kim ensminger in all i gave her $226.00 i want to put this out please do not buy no pet from the internet because people will scam you in you will be out of money so dont make the same mistake i made if you dont want to be out of my money
Only Albanian airport with scheduled service (?)
It looks like TIA may still be the only airport in the whole country with scheduled airline service, though there have been efforts to upgrade Kukës (LAKU) and Gjirokastër to handle scheduled service as well. The Italian government was helping with Gjirokastër at one point.
Airport status?
This was intended to be Albania's second airport with scheduled civil airline service, but some of the comments suggest that things aren't quite working out. Here's Google Translate's (not so great) attempt at translating the Albanian-language comments below (oldest to newest):

well what do you know? from satellite images it looks as though it was at one time quite substantial? Was it for the war? How long was it in operation?

I, too, fell for this ad in the Uncle Henrys, and have been in correspondence with the "Julian and Emmanuel Gomia". I was told they had relocated to cameroon for research on trees whose bark had "healing powers". Unfortunately, I gave out my info, but I did also get some of theirs...

I was almost scammed too! Luckily, I couldn't read the address on the email they sent as a "confirmation" So, when I looked up the agency I saw everyone's reports about it all being a scam! I got the same story about a mission trip, blah, blah, blah! Thank goodness for your responses! I sent an email back stating I didn't want to be ripped off but a stupid money hungry thief! Thanks to all of you for the head's up!

I was already scammed, Same story according to yours, her family and her are on a missionary supposedly and when they moved they couldnt take any animals from another country so they are giving them away. They were coming from cameroon and stopping in France. I didn't pay a lot, but I am out $100. Compared to others I would say I am lucky. A friend of mine said it was probably a scam, and when I got an email from the "France" airport, they said that I had to pay an insurance fee, but that it was all refundable. I didn't want to be out $550 so I decided to do some research. Then I found this website, and everyone convinced me. I didn't want to believe but I guess it is true. The bad thing is that i gave some of my information. Now I am going to have to change my phone number.

Is this your airstrip? I saw what appeared to be a Cessna 170 taking off from that strip a few weeks ago. It was some type of older tail-dragger. Was that yours?

General Aviation at Virginia
Controllers are very first world with some very skilled ones and the odd mediocre one. If flying VF take a little time to listen in and try to identify local landmarks used for reporting. Good for Helo flying with two "virtual" pads North and South. New International airport 18.5 kms to the North due to become operational shortly. Unknown impact at this stage.

Hodges Airpark Breakfast 11-14-09
There's a good breakfast served every third Saturday morning at Bill's hangar, starting around 0800. Lots of folks fly in for this so monitor 122.9 for runway 12 or 30. Park at the end of the row of T-hangars on the SE end. Several of us drive/fly up to Briar Patch airport (9GA1) for the EAA meeting and occasional lunch. Very casual meeting, mostly just meeting folks and talking flying.

I'm going through the same thing right now I guess I should of came on this site before to read your comments, I adopted 2 bulldogs and the guy is bending over backwards tryin to make me feel comfortable about this, but I wouldn't send money to him via western Union because I got scamed out of thousands of dollards a few years ago and am not taking chances like that again. but now you guys are saying that if I gave this guy my personal info he will or might commit crimes using my identity?
so even if I didnt send any money I should report this to the police?

These people must be changing up their email addresses i contacted a woman or man on kijiji website about two teacup yorkies i am so grateful that i can read thru bullshit they tried to get me to pay $180 for crates so the dogs can be shipped out but i did some research before i decided to go thru with it they kept asking for my info so i smartly gave them a false 1 until i finished my researching then i found this website thank you to every1 who has posted up comments about these low life people. th email address that they have been contacting me at is carol velez@yahoo.com

Runway at Castillejos
I last used this runway in 1964 when the Cubi Pt. Navy Flying Club used it for training with a Piper Colt. It was unpaved but in good condition and was attended by a man who asked for our flight information.

I last landed and took off Corregidor in 1984 with 3 American Civil Air Patrol Cadets. I recommend 10 degrees of flaps for takeoff with a Cessna 182.
The same C182 with 4 adults went off the end of the runway and dropped into the bay sometime later.

Clubhouse operational!
Pilots, when flying into Beiseker there is now a place to relax and take a break. The Beiseker airport clubhouse is a volunteer run "terminal" facility. There is chairs to sit in and a washroom in the back. Dial up the emergency frequency to get in the door. Thanks in advance for dropping by. While in Beiseker, Fuel is available from the Alberta Skydivers.

I just googled up this site and the one that he sent me was nothing like this and the website was all in different colors. The ad was placed on kijiji.ca. be aware people.

A great facility now owned/operated by Sobeys. I used up the last 100LL just before a long weekend. So a call to verify availability might be in order.

Recommended
Florø airport is the westernmost airport in Norway, with the North Sea to the west, fjords and mountains to the east, and the beautiful North Sea coast to the north and south. It is a 20 minute walk to the city center, or five minutes by cab. Florø was founded in 1860 and will celebrate 150 years in 2010.
Beware of strong wind along the coast, including the airport. Remember to check METAR and TAF before departure. Also note that as since october 1. 2009 the airport do not have 100LL fuel. You may get 100LL from the local flying club at ENBL (Førde, Bringeland) 23nm to the ESE. The tower at ENBL will help you get in touch with the club.

First plane!!
I'm a super big fan of this airport, as I attend university several miles away. Years ago, I discovered this small, remote, unheard of, 1500 foot dirt landing strip while flying around on the Microsoft Flight Simulator. I have never seen any airplane land on this strip, ever! It is quite possibly the loneliest airport, ever! Local residents use the strip as a place to exercise their dogs. In fact, several months back, my family and I had a nice picnic on the runway, which resembles more of a driveway, or an unmaintained dirt road then a designated spot for aircrafts to land. I'd estimate that you could count on your fingers the amount of air traffic that this airport sees every year. Anyways, I was driving back from a run I had in Rancho Del Oso State Park yesterday, when to my amazement, I saw a Cessna 170 taxiing along the runway. I slammed on the breaks, and stopped on the side of the road, to get a glimpse of a plane taking off from an airport I thought I'd never see used for its intended purpose. I have to say, it was AMAZING! This airport is now my favorite airport, by far! When I become a pilot of my own, I'll be this airport's number #1 visitor.

It's funny. I responded to an ad from Uncle Henry's. A local book, people buy, barter and trade from. I was delighted to see free puppies! My children desperately wanted a dog. I emailed the ad, and got a response from a woman whose name was Kristine Lee. She stated that she is 29, pregnant and married to Emmanuel Gomia. She stated they were moving and couldnt take the puppies...This whole story about how her grandfather was breeder and she got a dog for her wedding present and these puppies where the result. She then asked me for $100 per puppy. When I questioned it, since they were listed as free, she said I sounded wonderful and she would just send me the dogs....Then I decided to check, since it all sounded a little odd. And here I am. Luckily, I didnt send any money, or give out and information except the town that I live in. I was very basic. Watch out every one...! Her name is changing, but thr story is the samE!!!!
