Awesome 3600โ€™ long grass strip!

Beautiful and well maintained grass strip. Awesome people! A great place to visit!

re: Can anyone verify?

Reply to @david: It is 2192 ft long. Trees and marked hydro lines at the West end but open to the East. Plenty long enough for a Cessna 172, etcโ€ฆIt is CWS3, a public airport and now in the CFS.

It is a beautiful 2192ft grass strip! Awesome, friendly people! Trees and powerline (marked with orange balls) at the West end.

New Jersey Air Victory Museum

Located at South Jersey Regional. A first rate museum with aircraft from Korean Conflict forward. Also an amazing display of aviation artifacts. Reasonably priced. For more info check out the website.

Small but reliable!

We flew into this airport in 2023 on one regional airline. While visiting the government withdrew the license for the airline requiring us to purchase tickets from another airline at double the price of the previous airline without the refund of the previously purchased tickets.

Great stop

Wonderful pilot accommodations! Has a shower and even a friendly airport cat. 10/10

The runway is curved

The south end of this runway curves east so if you land 35 you really have to overshoot the threshold a bit

This is a really pleasant place if you want to fly or stay and visit the area. You have AVGAS 100LL fuel available on site, a place to park the aircraft. Aircraft service station. Three well -maintained grassy belts.604617218

Great location for summer

The airfield is basic, and you need to be careful for mountainwaves, especially with winds from the west. Also, mind the landscape, I found it difficult the grasp the elevations.

There is a cabin for rent, but I can recommend walking to the nearby camping, where there services.

It is a great location for mountain walks in summer.

We landed there on 2021-09-27 (Reg: 4K-AZ64) coming from Baku (GYD) as a private charter. We're pretty sure the airport wasn't open at that time. The runway was ready, but all the facilities were still under construction. We had a limousine pickup directly at the aircraft.

Home!

Since 2006, all my flight travels start here! The upgrades of the years have been an improvement but I'd love to see more.

Picture of bhicks69

A good upgrade for those that remember...

I've flown to and through Austin - both decades ago and this year. Begrstem is a well laid out and design airport. It also has good options for food and clubs.

Picture of bhicks69

Nice Airport

I've only ever flown out of AMS. We have flown United out back to the states. We found the Airport a typical large international airport that seemed a updated and more modern. Signage was good and easy to get around. We spent time in the United lounge and had a good time waiting for our flights there.

ICAO Code

ICAO code shouldn't be LR79, but rather LRIC.

CYPRUS is in the Wrong Continent

Not just this airport but since Cyprus is classed as Europe not Asia as the ICAo code are for the Europe region L. as in LC prefix

The error is probably in the Countries file used as it is listed as

302629,"CY","Cyprus","AS","

With the AS meaning Asia it should be EU for Europe

re: General Enquiry.

Reply to @QUIK-R-912S:

Hi Carl,

I live within 15 minutes of this airfield and used to fly flexwing in the UK until I moved to Spain. Did you ever find out anything or manage to hanger and fly somewhere else local? I've been looking to get back in to flying here so would find this useful as I'm looking to book up with a flight school here soon to get back in the air. If I do I'll be looking to have a flexwing here.

In the UK I flew out of Stoke (Medway) near Rochester, Kent.

Kind regards

Paul

Your eyes can't be everywhere every time, you will need the help of some special set of people to look into places which you can't and one of those people is premiumhackservices@gmail.com who can help you look into anything in the digital world and get anything you want, I don't want to spill the beans but you know what I'm talking about so go get it, it's at arm's reach.

A little bit of history...

The Lhasa Airport is the airport serving the Tibetan capital of Lhasa, one of the highest places on Earth. In case of an emergency cause by freezing temperatures, high turbulence, mountains on the roof of the world creating dangerous emergency landings, and a lack of airports, the Tibet-Qinghai plateau is very dangerous to fly over, and trust me, even World War Two Allied pilots suffered a stretch over the Himalayas called the Hump. This is why in 1965, Lhasa Gonggar International Airport was founded, but it was originally a no-fly zone due to safety concerns. The year is 1965, and this is when the runway was built, and then a terminal. Immediately, domestic Chinese airlines began service in the airport. Then, a few restaurants and lounges opened. A second runway was built in 1994 due to safety concerns. In 2004, Terminal 2 was built, and in 2011, an expressway was finished. A decade later, in 2021, a third terminal was constructed to improve infrastructure and meet demands. Now, it on average gets five million passengers a year, and flies to China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Macau, Nepal, and Singapore, depending on the very few airlines stationed there. No airlines have hubs there but it is still an important landing spot during emergencies on the so-called roof of the world.
