Worst airport ever
We arrived in January from Colombo early in the morning, and had a 5 hour wait for connecting flight.
I agree with previous comments, it is ridiculous that you cannot wait inside the terminal building, no access to toilet facilities, drinking water, seats. Nothing provided at all. A couple of outside catering carts, but nowhere to sit.
In general the most shitty airport I've ever been to, and I've been to a few!
Now our return flight back the other way.
Can we find out information about the recent floods ? Absolutely not, don't even know if the airport is open.
This is a complete joke, and we will ensure we NEVER return.

The director deepak shastri is as bad of a bureaucrat as you can get. This stooge was probably appointed by the previous corrupt government. He is very unprofessional and uses the Chennai Airports twitter handle @aaichnairport for his own purposes. Just go and read the tweets and you will be appalled. Any constructive tweets to the airport are met with hostility and curses. He also does not bother to update the Airport website even during these worst floods..not sent a single tweet about the airport status. Seeing his behavior I am not surprised why the airport is in such poor shape. The restrooms alone should be reason for this guy to be fired, but sadly he does not care because he won't be fired..so he can continue embarrassing India with this kind of operation. We Indians are helpless against these kind of government run facilities since no one is accountable.
Airport quality
To call this an international airport is a huge insult to every other airport in the country and in the world. I have travelled quite a bit to African and Pacific countries who have small airports and even those airports are of much better quality than Chennai airport. Corruption starts at the top and the head of the state, the Chief Minister should resign in shame to claim the airport to be international. Local contractors have built/extended the airport and they have no shame, much less the local government. They might try to hide under the excuse that it is the responsibility of the Union Government yet it is called the Chennai International Airport and the local government cannot shelter under any excuse. The airport is a disgrace and should be stripped of its standing as an international airport.
Bacolod is like an old town
Yep, was expecting a booming city yet I was so much disappointed. Not much to see. Complete waste of time going to Bacolod. Not even one decent tourist spot to visit.

Airport restrooms for disabled
I visited chennai international airport on Nov 30th 2015. Iam temporarily disabled. There is no separate restroom for disabled. There is no toilet seat in the ladies toilet. The lady in charge claims that all the seats in the three toilet are broken. It is annoying how a women can sit in the western toilet without seat. Gods sake you guys are collecting money. Stop staring disabled and start caring. Anything might happen to anybody. Pls change it get blessed otherwise u guys will be cursed.

re: Raytheon Heliport does not exist
The FAA still shows the heliport as active. They also show the location as "Estimated", so it's likely to be in those office buildings nearby. But this wouldn't be the first time nobody bothered to notify them when a private airport/heliport went away.

I have flown almost all over the world. All developed, developing and under-developed countries. Never seen a system and unprofessional airport like Chennai or people at this airport. Hopefully these people at Chennai airport learn from others if they want to compete globally and bring global business people to Chennai.
Airport Announcements
I am the airport from 5pm (my flight is at 7) .... Just need to mention how totally embarrassing it is to be a South African as the announcements being made are in very bad accents - unclear, and one can barely hear what is being said. In addition the announcer either shouts over the PA system or two announcements are made simultaneously. I can barely understand what is being said & doubt whether any foreigners will be able to understand.

Dont mind visiting bacolod. people in bacolod are mostly beggars.the airport itself is dirty and the city is so small. all you will see are either very old crumbling buildings or sugarcane.

Was built back in the coastal logging camp days, has been unserviceable off and on due to logs and rocks placed on it to deter users apparently. More of a super cub strip now.
There is an airstrip just n.e of the same bay by the dean riverside which is usable

Browsing thru most of the comments, anyone who has attempted to fly into ADG and have encountered the same problems as many of us have, would have to agree with the negative comments.

I presume that this is to help and contribute towards the Adelaide Biplanes rude collection for monies towards funding the costs of the EPA.
An EPA involvement which Adelaide Biplanes are directly responsible for by exceeding the movement limitations of which they were aware of.
What gets me is that they are asking others to donate to fund their business commitments as they are bound by, as I am led to understand, the shareholder and board resolution which agreed to the license provided that Adelaide Biplanes paid the costs and not the shareholders who did not crate the problem and that a EPA license to exceed the movements is pf no value or
benifit to the shareholders.
Now I have been directed to the Adelaide Biplanes facebook site .
Whilst collecting donations to fund their business, check out the house that they have just built. The "Boathouse" ????????

As I am told, and research confirms this. the most expensive rates around the flying schools for training or hire and fly.
Profit is good but greed is bad.
I and others now avoid the place like a plague.
Such a shame as has always been a great friendly place in the past with reasonably priced fuel.
Sadly, in my opinion, and as I can gather by the comments, many others, abusive, bad mannered operator and unsafe circuit procedures with multiple runways in use and sometimes no radio calls so totally confusing.
Almost as if they do not want other aviators flying in to ADG as the impression is that they want it all to themselves and others are an imposition.
Flew into Goolwa, Mate picked us up from Adelaide. Took the opportunity to drive to ADG for a look and looks nice but a dead, unfriendly airfield with only some Adelaide Biplane aircraft visible.
Dont spend any monies with them, not at all interested in one.

Jetstar International Customer Service
After a very long trip to the international airport to get first hand information on the flight status to Bali....due to the non-communication from Jetstar services re: flights to Bali,it was to our dismay, that no one, absolutely so one from Jetstar was in an information booth or was contactable. No person in attendance at the international airport from an airline that is supposedly, if you believe their advertisments, customer friendly. It has, this past week been a first hand experience of the lack of customer care and duty of care. It has been utterly, frustrating. The natural elements of course one can accept and understand and the airlines do have safety measures that need to be abided by. It is the total lack of duty of care to the paying customers that is unacceptable. I would not ever again, book or fly with Jetstar the subsiduary of Qantas. Qantas too, has been most unhelpful in their duty of care to customers. The customer service officers promised to sms, email and or phone for updates...in the past 7 days, not one sms, email or call. As a social media communicator I will make it a point to inform all, that the service received from this Australian airline and its Mother company, Qantas, were uncommunicative and unsupportive. The decision we make now is to delete all Jetstar and Qantas flights from our international itinerary, regardless of the discounted flights etc. Experience has proved that Jetstar and Qantas, are unacceptably not customer friendly.
TERMINALS
Xiamen has two major terminals used by travellers, named as Terminal 3 (for international flights and all Xiamen Airlines flights); Terminal 4 is for domestic flights within China. It is the quickest airport I have ever moved through for international arrivals but is notorious for departures being delayed because of lack of air space as it is one of the busiest airports in China due to its popularity for domestic tourism, especially in the golden holiday periods. The proximity to Taiwan also creates a heavy military base concentration and at times, the air space is closed for military purposes, not that anyone expects war to break out any more.
