I have had several experiences with WestAir to rent an airplane or have some flying lessons and it was always satisfactory. In 2011, I had a rough engine on a C172 (problem with the mixing) with an instructor and I was not charged.
Be aware that the airport has the highest number of runway incursions.

Home Base correction
Hi guys
Just to clarify, Mango (738's) and Comair (Kulula.com and the local British Airways operator with various 737 models) only have pilot bases in Cape Town, along with SA Express (CRJ2 and DH4Q) , SAA (738's) and SA Airlink (ERJ and Avro RJ's). This is not the 'home' bases of these airlines. All of them have the Head Offices in Johannesburg (OR Tambo International).
Its not a biggie, I know...but still, its more correct.

Unfortunately this seaplane base doesn't show up on the aeronautical charts at http://skyvector.com/?ll=25.761061845308774,-79.23504639034341&chart=301&zoom=1 and according to Wikipedia the airline that used to service this base, Chalk's International Airline, lost its flying charter in 2007 so it's possible that it's closed.
Wrong location?
I was trying to determine which hotel to choose based on it's proximity to the seaplane base. It appears that the marker for the base is in the midst of trees with no access roads. I expected the location to be near civilization at a marina.

I found out about this scam and have been talking to "derick wayne" for over two days now trying to get any information from him that I can. I have gotten the same as everyone. The email was very well written and convincing. What first flagged me was in the craigslist ad there were two reds and a black. The pics they sent me were Katy, Cindy and Jake.

development of Amravati airport is pending from more than 4 years. there is no development at the Amravati airport site from last 4 years.

it has been more than 4 year still there is no development at Amravati airport site ,please change the government of maharastra as soon as possible in the coming elections otherwise it will never complete only solution for the development of vidhrbha is the change of government in maharastra.

Awesome views, good day trip. There's a bunch of cafe's overlooking the reef and ocean 10mins walk north of the airport (sealed road). If you keep an eye out on takeoff or landing there's also a surprise in one of the forests - see if you can spot it.

Nobody ever accused her of being a POM. Just acting like a toffee nosed POM who thinks that she is Gods gift to the Australian Aviation Industry. WRONG.
Can she fly? Does she have a pilots license? Or is she a self appointed Industry watchdog? And then if so, by whose authority and who has appointed both her and her POM Husband to police the local flying and other distant communities?
Pray for the day when some real down to earth proper aviators return to run the airfield.
How many of us would be more than happy to frequently fly in for a visit?

This airport can not be used due to an exclusive contract given to the airport in Tirana. When that contract ends its chocks away ! The German company who developed Tirana wisely did not want competition. As Tirana reaches capacity this argument may be seen as dog in the manger.
