lunch at the cafe was great!
friendly cafe, lots of aircraft activity for an older, out-of-the-way place
steep approach on rwy 25 to avoid the trees
Obstacles
Watch out for the tall towers just north of the field. I think traffic for RWY 10 is right for this reason. Also if taking RWY 10 note the mature trees/telephone poles right at the end of the RWY. The trees look to be taller than 50' and are maybe 30ft from the end of the runway so plan accordingly.
friendly and welcoming for GA traffic
night landing, no problem
another gem with long, wide, well-kept runways
great cafe (closes at 2pm)
long, wide, well maintained runways
quiet GA field, lots of improvements underway; beautiful area
agreed, GA friendly!
first contact @ 20nm ("Atlantic City Approach, [my tail number]") they offered a squawk code then asked for more info; very efficient and welcoming
Nice friendly place. RP
Very friendly and service oriented.

Stayed at a Hilton Home2 property (free shuttle + free laundry + free breakfast: https://home2suites3.hilton.com/en/hotels/idaho/home2-suites-by-hilton-idaho-falls-IDALBHT/index.html) which is next to Stockman's, a really great restaurant: https://stockmansrestaurant.com/.
Would go back just for the eats!

The trees are taller than they appear. Know your short field performance and maybe don't take off at gross weight if its close. Bonanza V35 at gross was too close for comfort on takeoff.

Why oh Why
Nooo! This is so sad...airports closing all over and no place for the little guy to learn flying..this will be a dead sport at this rate :(

I'm looking for flights to Pittsburgh and back . any pilots that fly that route
I fly Use that Airport all the time half of it is in Beverly
I fly Use that Airport all the time half of it is in Beverly the other half in Danvers, , i went to Flight School on the danvers side there.
Great airport, Runway 27 and 16 are my fav runways..
Glider activity
Watch out for glider activity.
Friendly ATC
As a newish pilot, I always appreciate a non-class B personality in the controllers.
Be on your game
This place is short and skinny. On top of that, it sits in a valley. It's a neat place but you better know your plane. I actually landed here in bad weather and I had no problem, but I can imagine pilots running long and ending up on the golf course.
Following your successful landing, go around the creek and get a meal at the Copper Kettle.

Great Airport
Flow into there in a Bonanza, parked for four days to do the Virginia Beach thing, Signature was a great FBO. Tower folks good too.
Alaska 2018
Returned to Alaska after 45 years. Spernack aviation is a great FBO.
Nice gravel strip Alaska Trip 2018
Owner of Hotel in town drove us back out to the strip. Beautiful hotel right on the water. We will go back.

I flew in today, the FBO is unbelievable. Beautiful with a very swanky pilot's lounge. I think I would get spoiled if I flew out of here regularly!
Learned to fly at this airport
Granite aviation does such great job and there is always interesting planes and people at this airport.
NEED TO GET THERE FROM DALLAS
Where would I fly into to get closest? (Pueblo)?
Name Change
Wrong name, should be : Alderman Farm Airport
Ediz Hook K NDB is 338 kHz not 317 kHz
Ediz Hook was a marine NDB on 317 kHz but the frequency was changed to 338 kHz May 2010. Ident is still "K" - the last single letter NDB in the USA!
Sebago NDB 227 kHz Decommissioned
Sebago NDB last log 3/14. NDB transmitter removed prior to 6/18
Alpine County NDB Decommissioned
NDB BWR 412 kHz decommissioned May 2018.
Elevation
Can you please tell me the elevation of this airport?
This place never existed
This heliport does not appear to exist. I have looked through aerial imagery archives since 1939 and I saw no (H) around.
re: History Of Rose Aviation on Hawthorne Airport from 1963
I was a line boy there in 1973.
I worked there for while. It was nice place to work. I was an A & P Student at. Northrop Institue of Technology. Her mechanics help me learn about airplanes. They needed me to work more hours. I. Couldn't I was a student studying hard. They "let me go"

Such a loss W52/IGX
There will come a time in the future when the university wishes they still had this Airport.

Home Base
65NJ is a heliport in The Kearny NJ
Here are the coordinates of the heliport (40.730562 , -74.116901). I'm trying to log this airport since its my new home base and this is not in your database correctly
Excellent fuel price
This is a typical country airport with great service
Be careful of the adjacent airspace
Fantastic
Wonderful country. Airport with cheap fuel and now an AOE.
They roll out the red carpet
Good airport
Landed here June 2017 and again April 2018... nice facility, clean restrooms and lounge. Drinks in the fridge and Chase is a friendly and professional airport manager. They have a courtesy car and can also arrange rental vehicles... ask Chase about that. Decent fuel prices and nice folks... I'll be back!
Nice strip, tie downs and great bunkhouse accomodations
Landed here in April 2018 and found the strip in good shape with solid tie downs. No fbo/fuel, etc., but the Park Ranger will come pick you up and take you over to the visitor center and bunkhouse. Just make a low pass near the visitor center about 1/2 mile west of the strip, then land... the will come pick you up in about 15 minutes. They were very nice, helpful and accommodating. The bunkhouse is quite nice... full cooking facilities, comfortable mens and women's bunks, hot showers and restroom, refrigerators and freezers, etc. No restaurants so you have to bring your own food and drinks. They do sell ice, a few snacks and some drinks at the visitor center.
Business Jet Center
One of my favorite FBOs to stop at.
Great Airport

Line service was very friendly and helpful. Had to emergency land here due to ice and Approach was a life-saver!
