re: Were's the VOR?

I'd be very grateful for the information about the VOR (latitude, longitude, identifier, name, frequency, etc.) so that we can add it to the database.

Were's the VOR?

Proposed development

Do any one knows about proposed development around the airport?

Picture of

I wish more were like that

It's small, it's cosy, it's convenient. It takes you about 10 minutes from the time you've landed to the moment you've sat in the taxi. You have to love it. I just keep coming back.

Encouragement !!!

I believe there is nothing to say about its appreciation but i would suggest it should be international in real as i don't think any international flights are flying from Multan. I think the reason being is there is no load of people flying to or from Multan. But being a city that is famous for mangoes specially and for it's sweet called sohan halwa there has need to make it international so that we could transport them easily without any hassle of sending them to big cities like lahore, islamabad or karachi. Finally i would like to say Multan is the biggest city in the southern Punjab. Surrounded by many well known cities like Bahawalpur, khanewal, muzafargarh,D.G khan and many others so taking all those cities into notice and looking at their population we should think there needs to have some real International Airport. So the people will not have to travel all the way to Lahore, islamabad or karachi and they will fly right from their neighbouring city.

Looking for more info

Does anyone know if there are NDB's, VOR's, ILS's or communication radio frequencies associated with Yubileyniy? I would like to compile as much complete information about this airport as possible so that I can create a scenery package for X-Plane. Other information that would be useful: Runway approach lighting type, and runway edge lights.

Looking for navaids, frequencies and other info

Does anyone know if there are NDB's, VOR's, ILS's or communication radio frequencies associated with Krayniy? I would like to compile as much complete information about this airport as possible so that I can create a scenery package for X-Plane. Other information that would be useful: Runway approach lighting type, and runway edge lights. Also, I have seen references to an ICAO code of UAOL for this airport. Can this be verified?

Interesting approaching procedures!

UIO airport is a very interesting and it takes a while to know the approaching procedures specially using VOR and ILS. Give it a try! A beautiful city in one of the best countries I ever visit

Wow

Overflew this airport last summer, was planning a possible touch and go depending how the field looked, but when we approached... wow... runway 27 certainly slopes DOWN.

Picture of

Cattle on runway

please note that there may sometimes be cattle on the runway, its best to do a flyby before landing

Great news if this airport really gets going

We live in Extremadura in Spain close to Alentejo region in Portugal The whole region is superb and it would be fantastic were they to get ryanair etc to fly there. For a flavour of the area click on spanishgarden.org

Picture of

The shafting airport

The good blog on this site is quite obviously posted by the operators of Aldinga.

Note the continued reference to coffee, the wonderful safe place to fly.

At Adinga, there are 2 rules, one for them and one for others. Do as they say and not as they do.

Now I am told of a near miss because they are doing left and right circuits without any notification in the ERSA.

Fly there at your own risk.

If one has money to spend at Aldinga, then you are great.

There are many locals who will not go near the joint. Have been abused for no reason, reported for no reason and been rude to for no reason.

How about the people at Aldinga attempting to dob the people in at a Port Lincoln fly in when they were not even there. Told CASA to hide in the tress and spy on these great people at PLC.

Yeah nice people.

re: Good place to visit

Reply to @dazuppa: Correction - SE ramp mentioned above, sorry! :-)

Picture of dazuppa

Good place to visit

Brantford is very easy to find - an obvious triangular shape next to the only big town in the area. Wide, long, well-maintained runways and not so well maintained taxiways, huge ramps. A couple of semi-dismantled C-117 with square tails and oversized elevators at the end of the SW ramp (aviation buffs, check them out - those birds are rare now!) Reasonably busy, but with well-organized traffic and helpful unicom. A nice place to visit.

Crosswind runway and misc updates

A crosswind runway was recently completed, making Burlington really comfortable and easy to operate from. Maneuvering surfaces are in a very good shape, overall airport infrastructure looks better and better with every visit.

FBO status remains the same - sort of struggling through and not quite organized, missing a leading hand. Seen a King Air blasting the parked Cessnas (yes, he was doing a run-up next to the pumps, pointing its tail to the ramp within 60 ft). Advised the FBO folks, they refused to comment or take any action to prevent the damage of their own airplanes.

For the renters - add $10 to the prices from the Spectrum Airways website, this is called a "temporary fuel surcharge" or something like that, but looks like its a permanent thing in disguise.

Bokaro Airport

Good to see the progress made for Bokaro Airport. According to the latest news an agreement is signed between AAI & Jharkhand govt.

Is it for sale?

What would be a fair price for the property and how big is it in total?

Picture of

Great alternative to Port Augusta or Whyalla

We always use Port Pirie in preference to the above- easy to get fuel and friendly. Second the comment below- the airport manager is a really great guy.

too bad they stopped these flights after 1 week already ;)

Spicejet to think

This is the time for Maran (Spicejet Chairman) to make all the tamilnadu airports connection, like Chennai-Coimbatore-Tuticorin-Coimbatore-Chennai.

Picture of

Mumbai connection required Tuticorin Airport

As these two cities having ports, business mans are going to Chennai and catch thier flights, so Airline operator can link, Mumbai-Coimbatore-Tuticorin, Tuticorin-Coimbatore-Mumbai.

Picture of

Kingfisher and Spice jet have Daily Flights to Chennai

Kingfisher is running it flight daily for the last 5 years, Spice jet launched it new Q400 Turbo ATR from Tuticorin-Chennai daily, from DEC2011, these two flights are very much suceessfull, They can introduce one between Coimbatore and Tuticorin, sur it will have patronage.

Picture of

Quality airfield

Aldinga airfield has gone ahead in leaps and bounds for the past 7 years.

As a result of this intelligent development it is hard to beat in this region.

A pleasant cafe and quality flying school with a focus on safe flying in up to date equipment.

Unfortunately the zero tolerance of seat of the pants and ill disciplined "cowboy" flying has encouraged it's share of detractors. I suspect that the individual responsible for all of the childish and puerile comments on this page is one of those sad types who would rather kill someone than admit that he was wrong. It is the disappointing aspect of free speech.

Try Aldinga for yourself.

re: TO OUR PRESIDENT

FUCK YOU mga abusadong officers! di kayo dapat ganyan sa mga pilipino karapatan nila ma travel or maghanap man sila ng trabaho sa ibang bansa pera nila yun! hindi naman kayo kinakaltasan sa sahod nyo. wala kayo pakealam kung san sila gusto pumunta basta walang criminal case na dapat ihold! gago!

Picture of

dangerous

Stay away unless you have an emergency. The runway is the wavyest runway I have ever landed on. Kicked us back into the air on landing. Rolling not close to being level. Our engine quit because of the negitive G incured from being bounced. I have 1329 hours in a tail dragger and this was without a doubt the scarest landing ever.

EAD data

My latest dataset from Eurocontrol shows the airport as still being open. They also list the name as "Vinnytsia/Gravryshivka".
