A charming jewel on the edge of Nebraska
Eppley is, for some reason, one of my favourite airports. It's small and easy to navigate, short on facilities, but big on charm. It has a welcoming atmosphere and is very peaceful on account of its light flight schedule. Its record annual passenger number is just over 5,000,000, so it's not a major hub and is totally free of the hustle and bustle you find in the airports of most major cities.
According to Wikipedia, it is ranked as the 61st busiest airport in the United States, but the number of passengers quoted on that list is less than half of what the airport itself claims. If we take the airport's figures as gospel, then it would rank as the 46th busiest airport in the US, but it's likely the numbers from airports surrounding it on the list are also higher than Wikipedia thinks.
For context, the top three airports by passenger numbers in 2024 were Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson, Dubai, and Dallas Fort Worth with 108,067,766, 92,300,000, and 87,817,864, respectively.
Easy-to-use, but light on facilities
The fact that Dresden airport is still operational is a blessing for locals of the Saxon capital, but it is unfortunately vastly underused and massively underserved. Landsie facilities are sparse, with the ground level dotted with car rental kiosks, an information desk (for lost baggage and onward transport info, and the odd souvenir), and a newsagent that serves coffee (when it's open, which it isn't often). If you do want a warm drink before you go through security, there are a couple of machines, but they only take coins (no card). If you only have notes on you, there is a change machine to the left of the info desk as you enter the airport from the car park. Trains to the centre of Dresden (which stop in Neustadt and HbF) are found downstairs and run 18 and 48 minutes past the hour. Check in and security are on the first floor, and they are generally a doddle to clear. The only time you'd expect to wait is when you find yourself checking in with one of the three daily flights to Palma de Mallorca. Beyond that frequent shuttle service, not many end destinations are well served. There are regular flights to Frankfurt, Münich, and Düsseldorf, from which you can get pretty much anywhere with ease. There are a few flights a week to Zürich, and a relatively regular service to London Stansted throughout the summer, but the frequency is unreliable in the off-season.
There have been whispers for years that the airport will close, and the lack of investment in services doesn't bode well for that, but a connection to Antalya in Turkey was added recently, so maybe that's a good sign.
Airside, there is no external smoking area, but a small, ventilated cubicle has been added. There's a decent coffee shop, a small but well-stocked Duty Free, and a newsagent with souvenirs. It feels more like a bus terminal than an airport in many ways, which is no bad thing for frequent fliers. It's no frills, but no nonsense also. I have a soft spot for it as it's my local airport, but I do wish a few more connections to the UK and Ireland were added, and a direct daily flight to Geneva would be a Godsend for me. I'm not holding out hope for those to be added any time soon, though.
Istanbul Airport Incorrect Continent
The continent for Istanbul Airport is listed as EU, should be AS. Found that in a JOIN SQL query when none of the airport data was coming up.
317457,LTFM,large_airport,"İstanbul Airport" EU,Turkey,TR,"İstanbul Province",TR-34,34,
Another consideration is to change all the letter " İ " to the standard letter " I ". Searching for this airport on a standard English keyboard does not find it. For my database application I just do a search and replace on all of them in the csv file. Simple solution.

I just joined OurAirports yesterday. How does someone create a new message in these forums? I am a bit at loss. I have sent messages to the comments area, and have heard nothing back. Pretty frustrating. Thanks if you can help me.

The airport is planned to be reopened in 2028, according to BBC.. :)

VOR/DME closure
VOR/DME for Suvarnabhumi Intl Airport has closed due to a taxiway expansion. New one is said to be operational by 2028.
Very welcome reception
After a drizzly arrival, we were welcomed by the people from the local inn. Call them beforehand. You might be so lucky to get a free coffee and cake, as we did.
re: History on this airport?
Reply to @LongBranchFlyer: Last topographic map that depicted Newport Bay Airport was from 1951. It was no longer depicted in the 1956 topo map. It likely closed between 1951 and 1956 then. At the time, it was known as Balboa Airport shown with two structures and two runways in a reverse L shape. It was not depicted on a 1947 topo map, so it must had a very brief history.

Reply to @espinielli: I will make sure to keep an eye out and change it all on Wikipedia once the new prefix is active in 3 days.

Remark
Originally, the Uttaradit Landing Ground served the Uttaradit province, located at 17°37′52″N 100°05′48″E. On 11 November, 1944, it had two runways, both overgrown and rendered unserviceable for aircraft use. Not much is known of the airfield’s history.
Nice well kept airport
They had Great staff and a New Courtesy car. Under 5000 miles.

Beautiful location in the heart of Northern Bohemia within hilly countryside, Zakupy Castle just on the eastern border of the ATZ, Panska Rock (the Stone Organ) only a few minutes NW from the airport… To name some popular highlights in the vicinity of the airfield.
Friendly people inviting you to spend some time talking about the aviator’s stuff at the local bar… I can only recommend this place for a visit.

Great airport! Small and easy to navigate.
Awesome 3600’ long grass strip!
Beautiful and well maintained grass strip. Awesome people! A great place to visit!
re: Can anyone verify?
Reply to @david: It is 2192 ft long. Trees and marked hydro lines at the West end but open to the East. Plenty long enough for a Cessna 172, etc…It is CWS3, a public airport and now in the CFS.

Great grass strip airport!
I attended their annual BBQ on August 9th, 2025.
It is a beautiful 2192ft grass strip! Awesome, friendly people! Trees and powerline (marked with orange balls) at the West end.
New Jersey Air Victory Museum
Located at South Jersey Regional. A first rate museum with aircraft from Korean Conflict forward. Also an amazing display of aviation artifacts. Reasonably priced. For more info check out the website.
Small but reliable!
We flew into this airport in 2023 on one regional airline. While visiting the government withdrew the license for the airline requiring us to purchase tickets from another airline at double the price of the previous airline without the refund of the previously purchased tickets.
Great stop
Wonderful pilot accommodations! Has a shower and even a friendly airport cat. 10/10
The runway is curved
The south end of this runway curves east so if you land 35 you really have to overshoot the threshold a bit
Airtractor parts drop
Boy, Sabetha really screwed up
Friendly place at Yingling Aviation

Inexpensive fuel

Nice place, but fuel wasn't working

This is a really pleasant place if you want to fly or stay and visit the area. You have AVGAS 100LL fuel available on site, a place to park the aircraft. Aircraft service station. Three well -maintained grassy belts.604617218

The airfield depicted here is actually Mimia Airport, serving Mimia mission (source: MAF West Congo Airport List).
Information about FZBR Bolongonkele is extremely limited, but it was likely a short-lived highway strip located here: -2.753684°, 19.904530°
