Why would they "Dob you in"? are you doing something illegal? And how will they "Get you one way or the other"? I will reiterate that your comments are both uneducated and unsubstantiated. . . . How do they not have respect for locals? They have changed circuit patterns to suit, they are running a legal business that brings tourism to the area, and furthermore please state another country airfield that has an equivalent quiver of aircraft as diversified as ABP along with the training to go with it.
To say that radical locals do not want to close the airfield down is false. . . . . I have a feeling that the people venting on this site are in fact the locals that want it shut down. . . . I still have a copy of emails that were sent by Suzi whom she was instructed to apologise for inappropriate comments by the mayor of Onkaparinga.
For the readers and actual pilots of this site please realise that the majority of the negative comments I believe are made are not from actual pilots but from locals trying to shut down the airfield whom have an agenda, they have been both underhanded and dishonest hence they will not put a name to there comments.

I will be reporting this to the highest of authorities ! i have now installed a spy CAM in my luggage and will ensure whomever does this again is prosecuted to the fullest. Shame !

Visited mid May, a bit of traffic. Unicom won't answer but other local pilot will help if on frequency. Airport staff is very friendly and free wifi inside for pilots use! Very good place.

First time traveller ako pa korea. Wala silang hiningi sa akin, Binigay ko na dretso RT Ticket, COmpany Id, Hotel Reservation,Passport with KOREAN Visa. Issue ko lang eh iba iba yung date of booking ko daw. Pero pinalusot din nila ako. :)

The Airstrip
There is no commercial airport in Prachuap the airport as they put it is an air force base.

They know how many flights are coming in, why can't they staff customs properly? Had to line up upstairs before making it downstairs for a hall of more line ups. Over an hour in line. Ridiculous. I'll fly though Buffalo though I like in Toronto.
Eyes open when using.
Runway is gravel. As of May/2016 runway is in very good condition with some loose crushed rock/gravel on surface. Caution on shoulders/edges as are much softer than main operating surface of r/w. Runway is maintained by MB government Dept of Conservation for use as required as SEAT reload base. Before use, is recommended contact with Lac du Bonnet Fire Centre to obtain any required permission for access and for any know runway conditions. Use caution on t/o and landing as runway is crossed by road serving small quarry a cpl hundred metres north of runway edge. Also has been known to be used by ATVs and trail bikes. Very suitable for most a/c in size up to PA31 or Cessna 400 series or even Twin Otter....depends how much flying gravel you're prepared to risk. Lots of parking area in SE corner.Main issue to using runway would be any squirrelly cross-wind caused by relatively narrow clear-way in which r/w is situated....other than that , enjoy your flight.

Loud and clear but with sudden deep fading on 25 May 2016. Using AM MW portion ( tunes below 535khz) of a Kenwood 9r-590 and 80m dipole.

FIRST TIMER
I'm planning to travel to India this week and this is just a gift to myself. I am currently a college student and I sponsored this trip myself. After reading all of this, I really got anxious and lots are brewing on my mind now
Should one dare.
I note that a recent comment suggest that one should identify oneself on this Aldinga comments site.
Do so and say it as it is and you will have assertive action leveled against oneself by the operators.
They will either cancel a fuel card if one has one which is illegal.
Or
They will find reason to Dob you in.
But rest assured, they will get you one way or the other simply for telling as it is.

By the Bollocks, they have brought about all these negative comments themselves.
Look at other airports and airfields and there are very few negative comments.
Where there is a lot of smoke, there certainly is a fire.

Adelaide Biplanes had absolutely no respect for the locals.
They came here Pommy Land, Bought the Flying school and within a short period of time where conducting flight activities at all hours and late on Saturday and Sundays with the constant droning of aircraft going round and round and sometimes low level circuits as well.
Anyone living in the vicinity stated getting jacked off.
But they never ever wanted to close the flying school nor the airfield down. That us absolute rubbish to state that.
At the end of the day it was simply and plainly Adelaide Biplanes who have been the root cause of a beautiful country airfield being EPA licensed. That transpired to be the only way to control these inconsiderate operators who have dobbed other aviators in to CASA rather than talk to the person that they, as self appointed industry police, perceived to be doing wrong.
And worse than that , they reported people from other airfields and venues which had absolutely nothing to do with them.
And to Mr Bollocks. The way you are ranting and raving leaves a lot to be desired in your ignorant outlook of the the facts.
As a Adelaide Biplane disciple, you would have blinkers on.
It only takes one to read the majority of comments to form an opinion that the operators at Aldinga have also no respect for Australian Aviators many of whom can fly rings around the bloke from Aldinga.
Remember that within the first year of him coming to Australia from Pommie Land, he stated that Australians have a bad flying culture and that HE was going to change it.
He has alright, which is why the pilots from Adelaide Biplanes are not overly welcome at any of the Flying Venues in South Australia. And that is a fact.
And the other thing which many have experienced, go there and do not put your hand in your pocket for fuel, coffee or cake, you will get the cold shoulder.

The Vietnamese customs at Tan Son Nhat International Airport, Unlawfully took my Wifes wallet and purse searched them Looking for Money. This was while leaving Vietnam after 2 week visit with her Mom.
I want to report it, but I dont know how to do that at this time. I am Angry about it and if I was there with her I would have made a terrible seen that could have gone very bad...I dont know how to handle this, both emotionally and legally, further more I dont think anyone is reading this website here. I do think this mostly affects only Vietnamese people.

When we arrived, they were in the middle of a community work day, maintaining the grounds. Since they had extra food, they offered to share with us. Didn't have time, but the offer was quite generous!

Everything seemed clean and well maintained. No one seemed to mind that I was an Ultralight. Beautiful scenery all around.
At the Airport people are not treated as human being
We had arrived there on 5th of April 2016 around 9AM. The Airport is in bad condition.
The airport toilets are very dirty. You feel to vomit in the toilet area. Flies are all around. The passport control representatives are very cruel. They do not treat people like human. The custom officers are disaster.
I felt they are assigned to make people scared to take their goods or money as majority numbers of people are coming from Middle East and working as a labor. People are treated as pest. I saw many people were begging to give their cigarette cartoons as it is taken by the custom officers.
Alcoholic drinks are taken out and explanation was given that alcohol is prohibited in the country. It is treated as smuggling product. Explained was given by the highest authority of the shift who was sitting in the office.
However, during my vacation I found that many things are available in the country on home delivery basis. From the curiosity, I have watched few documentaries on you tube videos posted by the famous local tv channels and was shocked to see the result. I have complained about a lady custom officer for her rude behavior, the senior officer answered me that she has started working from 4am and she is tried.
The most hilarious experience was on the departure. We couldn’t seat in the restaurant areas because of flies. Thousands of flies are there. The funniest thing was, a bird was flying close the lounge.
Anyway, people do not keep many things is mind for long if they are treated as human. The officers should be treating everyone as a guest.
