Considering the business potential of the port city of Tuticorin, there is an imperative need to develop the infrastructure of the Tuticorin Airport to enable the airport to handle international flights and cargo.

Earthquake 2015
This airport is the main entry point for supplies into Nepal after the April 2015 earthquake, since the country is landlocked and there aren't any major land links. Unfortunately, news today (2015-05-03) is that the runway is starting to suffer damage from so many landings over the past week, so they've restricted it to smaller aircraft only.

What you can see on the map IS indeed about 6km east from the town center on Juba Road. So the shown location is perfectly right.

They are charging the Parking charges from Vehicles entering the Airport to drop the passenger and no action by the Airport Authority . None of the Airports in the Country charges if the vehicle comes , drop and go

Easy Access
PNS has one Concourse, and one level. As opposed to KBNA, it is effortless to "deplane" & "grab" your checked luggage...transportation is 8 feet outside. T.S.A. Employees very nice, patient, educational. A pleasant "Initial Point of Contact" if visiting Pensacola &/or surrounding area.

CAB5 Bronson Creek.
I have been a flight sim enthusiast form may years. My favorite session is to fly from PAWG to CAB5. CAB5 is on my bucket list to see in real life.

Was a beautiful thing
Our family used it for 16 years while living in the village. The airstrip was in our backyard, you might say. Served us well. Unfortunately it will probably never serve that way again, though could still be resurrected if there was a need. But with flying costs so high and a 'road' into the village now that sometimes operates it is hard to imagine what would constitute a need…

GREAT AIRPORT
I adore the airport, very clean, organize and quick service, everyone knows what they are doing, I am assisted politely and nicely by the immigration officer at the airport when I forgot to get re-entry visa because of busy schedule at work. I miss Japan, I love everything about Japan.
Wineries
This is a great base to fly-in and visit area wineries. We had a great lunch once at Tahbilk, but there are lots of other cellar doors and restos around.

Friendly airport - Great owner!
We, Harry(Zodiac 600) and a Roy(Challenger II), landed at this field as a diversion due to weather and picked up by a friendly pilot (Rick) who lives in town and offered us a place to spend night. Came back later part of the day to tiedown the planes and were extreamly happy/pleased to see that the owner had already anchored and tied them for us :). Neat place to see the glider activity and a plane that they use to tow glider up.

History
Cricklewood Aerodrome was built in 1912 to support the Handley Page factory in Cricklewood, London, England. Handley Page Transport operated service to Paris from here until merging into Imperial Airways in 1924. The airfield was closed in 1929. Currently the area is built up almost completely with residential homes. The original reception hall and some of the Handley Page aircraft factory still remain as commercial real estate.
