Lengthening of the runway
Common sense tells that as long as the runway is SHORT and cannot accommodate larger planes with more passengers, no airline will land international flights to Bacolod-Silay Airport, because it will not be commercially profitable! What are those who are in charge of the Bacolod-Silay Airport waiting for? LENGTHEN THE RUNWAY AND NEGOTIATE WITH THE AIRLINES!
Great private airstrip with hotel
It was great visiting this little airport. Mr George who has tower duties and who owns the hotel next to the landing strip is a great character, very helpful with everything. The hotel is very nice and inexpensive. From the site you can visit local attractions like Edessa, Kaimaktsalan mountain for skiing, the picturesque village of Agios Athanassios, the Pozar hot springs, Nymfaio, and further away, the Prespa lakes etc. Highly recommended trip!

For all you people out there worried about the immigration officials at Clark,you need to get your girl to go to Manila and obtain a CFO, it costs 400 peso and takes about 2 hours to get, once she has that also go to City Hall offices near Marquee Mall and get an afidavit signed there saying younwill take care of her on your trip 500 peso, also a hotel voucher, 10000 peso pocket money, if you get all these requirements then she will pass through no problems, my gf had new passport and never travelled before, we got all these documents together and when at Clark they see this and she pass through no problems, even the miserable bastos guy managed a smile, so do you homework and get proper documents dont expect to travel with out the proper paperwork because it will not happen i can tell you that for sure.
Very bad facilities
please start the International airport to Biju Patnaik Airport, because here there are lots of business man, employees working in out of country, all over world. we are getting too many trouble in Delhi and Mumbai, need to awaiting 6hrs to get Domestic Flight.too many company, power plants. and these peoples are not getting rail reservations also.

Hi it's me again. I just got through the immigration. I'm traveling alone. They didn't ask anything. The immigration officer didn't even talk to me. She just stamped on my passport. Btw the 1st floor sucks. The 2nd floor is nice :) not bad :)

Check and check and check again!! Call the airport and or Tower to confirm frequencies in use. Although the published TWR frequency is 122.40, the ACTUAL frequency in use is 118.80 MHz

ICAO identifier is HSFA. N10deg 32.2β E032deg 30.1β. Old (not working) VOR/DME is 117.1 PLG for VOR/DME approach to 01. Tower 128.7, Inbound traffic calls 30 nm from Palouge. General Broadcast is 124.1 MHz. Fuel is in a bowser, Jet A-1 only and is in short supply.

Chennai International Airport - AAI controlled PARKING Loot
Just a hour ago I went to pick up my brother who arrived from UK (London-Delhi-Chennai)
I was shocked to find at the out gate parking booth told me to pay Rs.60 / as I had spent 8 minutes from the time i entered till exit. I did not need to wait for him but he was already outside just waiting for me to come-in. They got into the car and we immediately left. Please note it is apparent in receipt itself 20:43 pm entered & left by 20:51 pm - Duration is 7:40 minutes); Yet has to PAY RS 60/- & could not argue as they were tied after 15 hrs journey !!!! (Receipt 215109 / 23-12-2012.
Can some one from AAI & Garuda Aviation services PVT LTD look into this or let me know where to complain.

If you're hoping for a quick trip through Customs/Immigration think on!! Unless things have changed greatly in the last couple of years be prepared for a couple of hours wait!! ...... and declare EVERYTHING!!

NCP Of the owner sharad pawar is the party which opposes the developement of Vidharbha they want all the money of maharastra government for the developement of western maharastra i.e. pune,baramati,solapur,kolhapur,etc. That's why all the work in vidharbha are in pending state and maharastra government is not at all providing any funds for the projects in vidhrbha.

hi, i have been hearing news about Purnea Airport getting operational soon, but now when i need to go and all the trains are showing WL, i looked for flight to purnea. vidharbha is getting nothing in the winter session of maharastra government in nagpur, as there are airports in pune,kolhapur,baramati,solapur,shirdi in western maharastra what the hell about vidharbha other than nagpur airport there is no other airport in working or ready to operate condition in vidhrbha, there are no industries coming to amravati sez and mihan,hingana why everything is against vidhrbha,please do cancel the treaty of joining or merging with maharastra in 1960-61 signed by yesvantarao chavan .

Fly-in Fish Boil
The Lion's Club of Washington, Island holds an annual fly-in fish boil in the summer (usually, July, I think). It is a novelty, and a great event. If the wx is good, the attendance is usually excellent. BE CAUTIOUS about traffic! The event draws many people who arrive other than by air, so it is a pretty big event. Get there early, so they don't run out of food. It's excellent. What wouldn't taste great if they poured a ladle full of melted butter over it?!? Get the details online, via Google. It's worth the flight, and a neat experience.

I agree with you!! Keningau Airport should not be monopolized for certain groups. Instead it is used for shared facilities.

My comment on Keningau airport: It is to be developed and continues to operate as before. It should not be left abandoned and used for unproductive center such as drinking and karaoke. For me if the airport is developed it will give advancement to the people of Keningau, Nabawan, Sook and Tenom. In addition, many residents in this area nowadays work and study overseas so this will save time for them to move easily.
If the airport is in operation, it does not only provide convenience to the residents of this district, it is beneficial to external students from Peninsular Malaysia and Sarawak came to study in "Institut Perguruan Keningau" and they also come to work and teach here. "Maybe the airport is suitable only for domestic flights."
Even so, the airport was used as "Flying Club" for the type of small aircraft "Bever RX 550", "Quicksilver Mx", "Trex 700" etc. .. also just for military facilities. Keningau Airport this should not have a monopoly on certain groups in the other hand it is used for consumption and common facilities.
